I returned to Cherry Pit after a few years absence, was a place my mother and I always loved going..it's such a peaceful and magical store with a lovely selection, you can't believe how many treasures they can fit in this small place. Around every corner is another surprise and something for every season and everyone who loves fabric. Very courteous and helpful staff who go out of their way to help customers find what they're looking for. I overhead a conversation with a lady who was specifically looking for coffee related fabric and they took the time to look for anything they might have to meet her needs. Really nice small town place, don't miss it!

This was the best shop I've been in so far on the Shop hop. They generously had a short class for us and even gave us all a stack of precut squares along with our free pattern. Their prices were good and they had a great sale section. I'll absolutely be back.

I was told by veteran employee cutting my fabric, 25 years, today to remind the girl up front that my bday is next week. She said I would get 15% off for my bday. Gosh in that case I will buy more. Only planned on 2 yards but I spent $88 worth. Well girl ar front taking money said: no bday discount unless you spend $100. Ouch. Darn, ok I'll spend enough to get over $100. No discount this visit. You can have your bday discount when you return to make another purchase. Gee, what is going on. Get the facts straight.
Bday discount or not. Feel I was cheated. Doubt I'll be back as I live in Winston Salem, NC. Joan Lowder

I received a kind email from Jan addressing my first experience in ages. First time to Cherry Pit was in the basement of owners home. Jan explained that all employees will be reminded about B'day discount. She was kind enough to off the bday credit to my card or a yard of fabric. No shipping, Mailed to me.
I do appreciate her offer and regret I was rather upset when I posted my comment.
I bought fabric with words to put on my hearts I give to people. My way to give back when I rung the bell 2 years ago. 3 more years of infusions.
The lady cutting my fabric was delightful.

Buyer beware! I bought a quilt kit and so far 2 out of the 6 blocks have pieces of fabric that are too small to match the pattern requirements. Most pieces are BARELY big enough, there is no room for error. When I called to let them know of these issues, they couldn't be bothered. It is an older kit and I wasn't expecting them to be able to replace the fabric, but I thought they would at least be glad to know they needed to make some changes. They have nice fabric, but I will never buy another kit from them. (It was the Be Attitudes Kit. I made the call to try to be helpful, but was told to remeasure. I have been sewing for over 55 years so I am not a novice.)

Adorable quilt shop, nestled in the sweet town of Sevierville. Store has lots of historical charm. The staff is just the sweetest to chat with. They have a large selection of grunge fabric. Beautiful quilts hanging all around to give you inspiration. I wish I lived in this area, this would be one of my go to shops!

Lovely quilt store with a large selections of fabrics. They have a Moda room dedicated to only Moda fabric lines! The ladies there are warm, sincere and friendly. They are eager to share the quilting experience with tips, ideas and suggestions. Can’t say enough good things about The Cherry Pit!
