I've only ever had amazing, thoughtful and persistent customer service from all staff. Dr. Ray is extremely informative and will make sure she gets your baby into being seen.

I appreciate the Dr and staff in taking great care of my bearded dragon and taking the time to educate me. A new mom to the bearded dragon, I had alot of questions and learned so much! We have found a loving facility to trust my beardie with!

I simply cannot express how amazing this veterinary office is. I have never received such high quality of care for my pets before. I had a sick African Grey that I had only had for about 5 weeks and she was having trouble laying an egg and had complications afterwards. I wanted to make sure that I took her to someone who really knew what they were doing.
I initially contacted this office 15 minutes before they closed not expecting to hear back until the following day which would have been completely understandable considering I was a new patient. That was not the case. I received a call within 5 minutes and spoke with a very friendly receptionist. They offered me an appointment the very next day.
When I arrived to my appointment I filled out the necessary paperwork. We only waited about 5 or 10 minutes before going back. After being taken back, I was asked several questions about her diet, living conditions, previous history, etc. They were very thorough, which I thought was great.
The vet came in not long later and she was absolutely wonderful. She took the time to go over everything with me and answered every question I had. She was honest with me about the bad news and told me what we needed to do to get Miles better. She walked me through what to do and not to do and explained everything. She was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and patient.
I drove from Cookeville which was about 1 hour 45 minutes away and this place was worth every minute of the drive.
I also just want to say to anyone concerned about some of the other reviews about them not getting back to them or never answering the phone...that was not my experience at all. If you call and they don't answer, it is most likely because they are giving the patient they are with their undivided attention and the best care possible.

Friendly staff and great atmosphere.. they truly love our little exotic friends.. I would recommend them to anyone.. I have a gecko and he's doing great now thanks to avian exotics.. and for those out there that think leopard geckos aren't nocturnal you are wrong..do your research.. I love them and they will be the only ones that treat my little G

Outdated and harmful information. I brought my leopard gecko here. I think the exam was fine. However, I felt that the technician kinda treated me a little like I was dumb. I believe my leo had a UVB burn. Both him and the vet told me it was not likely. The vet also told me it was most likely dehydration due to parasites... However she was already improving after turning off the coil UVB- which is known to cause burns ( I did not know this when I originally used it) . She also recommended that I turn it back on... She said repticarpet was fine- which it is not it harbors bacteria and can snag their claws and teeth. She also told me that leopard geckos were nocturnal.. they are not!

I have been going to avians and exotics for well over a year now. Dr. Ray is well educated and extremely friendly. My bearded dragon had an infection and Dr. Ray,Lucas,and Alana have helped so very much in treating her and getting her on the road to recovery. Dr. Ray and Lucas have worked with my rough work schedule,and come in on off days just to get my girl her medicine refills. If that doesn’t say enough about them and how much they care I don’t know what to tell you! Your exotic friend will be treated with the upmost care when choosing these Amazing people to help them out, and nothing less. Me and Izzy Both thank you all!

My youngest, M, has a snake that got upper respiratory infection and needed a four-week course of treatments. Over those four weeks I witnessed Dr Ray interact with pets and parents. She is very comfortable with both and she takes time to explain how to care for your pet.

I have been calling for 5 days and no one answered the phone. Left messages and phone number. No one has called back yet. Also sent an email and still no response. The vet may be good but how would you know. Their customer service is horrible.

Will never go anywhere else. Absolutely loved each person we were in contact with. Being new to birds, we had alot of questions and probably a little over worried and all that was put to ease. Wish they seen people.

Started taking my tortoises here recently. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great exotics vet!
