Dr. Burgess is a great vet who goes the extra mile for your pet and is a true animal lover. I know my senior dog is in great hands at Urban Pet.

I started taking my baby to Dr. Burgess in 2019 and could never imagine taking any of my animals anywhere else! Dr. Burgess is so kind and personable. She is great with my animals. My pup is always excited to see her. She has neutered him and removed a mass from his thigh. You would think after that he would never want to go back but when we pull up at The Urban Pet he can’t wait to get out of the car because he knows he gets to see his good buddy Dr. B! I feel so lucky to have found her!

I took my 16 year old cat in for sneezing and upper respiratory issues. They handled her very well and ran full labs and x-rays to rule out any underlying conditions and prescribed her an antibiotic. This visit cost around $300. I wish the review could have ended there with 5 stars!
A few days later, my cat started throwing up green bile several times a day and had a watery, irritated eye. I brought her back in and dropped her off for the day as they were busy. They AGAIN did bloodwork and x-rays (just a few days after the first visit) and when I picked her up, they had nothing to tell me. I asked the vet about the cat's eye, and she said "it'll go away on its own". It seemed to me as if she never even took a look at it. This appointment was around $700, and I was never called back with the test results, or any follow up on what could be going on with my cat (turned out she developed an allergy to her food, and stopped throwing up when I switched). Because her eye was not treated, she has formed a full on eye infection that I am having to get treated elsewhere.
I feel as if my wallet was completely taken advantage of during my experience with this vet. The office staff was kind, but after having spent SO much money just to not really get any solutions (besides the upper respiratory issue), I would not suggest using this vet office.

I have used Dr. Burgess for my dogs for at least 12 years. She has taken excellent care of each one & even found 2 for me to adopt. I love each of them with all my heart & trust her to care for them as if they are her own. She listens well regarding issues, explaining options for resolutions & her best recommendations. Her staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the Urban Pet and Dr. Burgess.

if you’re in nashville we recommend going to the urban pet. it was so refreshing to have someone else care about my baby as much as i do! she was so genuine and really wanted to find a solution for my cat to get better rather than just viewing him as a paycheck. ? 10/10 we will be back! not to mention it was super affordable and i didn’t have to cut off and arm and leg just for him to receive care.

I have taken my cat Scruffy there a couple times now and I won't go anywhere else! Dr. Burgess is so caring and compassionate. She really cares about the animals. From the moment you walk in the door and are greeted by their office cat George, you can feel the love in the building! They are wonderful and I would recommend anyone bringing their pets there!

The best Veteranary care I've ever received in Nashville. Dr. Burgess is amazing and knowledgeable. The staff is hands down warm, friendly, and genuinely seem to care. If you want a trustworthy Vet then you have found it.

Moved recently from New York and wanted to get a check-up for my cat. Was told that it would cost upwards of 400$ to even get in the door. I asked my friend who recommended the places months ago and was told its services have gone downhill since we talked and to try another place. Leave while you still can!!!

All 3 of my dogs have loved Dr Burgess. We had to put one of ours to sleep and when I say they were so sweet and caring throughout the whole sickness and passing. They even sent flowers. Had to switch vets bc of a move but we are back now. We are treated like family and they know us and love our dogs. You couldn't ask for a better vet.

Lots if dogs have passed through my house over many years, and different vets have followed. This place has been the best for too many reasons to count.
