Please, please do not rent here. It’s too many other places like budget and Avis hertz Corporate customer service is a joke. The place itself is a joke will be posting on social media about this place again Please take my advice. Let’s come together and put this place out of business because they need us.

I had the worst experience with this place. Enterprise is so much better, cleaner, and cheaper with no hidden fees. The vehicle was dirty and smelled like cigarettes. I do not smoke and I know what cigarettes smell like. I was told by one of their workers I was smelling what they use to clean the cars. Next, the windows were so dirty I had to clean them when I got home. There were unknown stains all over the seats. In the beginning, when I went to pay for the car I was told he was running my card for 398ds. When I got home and looked at my receipt via email.....my card was charged 585ds!!! With all that said, we were quoted 233ds and then charged 398ds then finally 585ds!!! This is just crazy!! Well, I left with the car at 415pm. They close at 5pm I mind you. I returned the car back at 8am immediately. They tried to charge me 60 plus dollars for 16hrs!!! But put on the receipt I returned it at 415pm! I had the car 16hrs not 24hrs. So, the guy said he would give me a discount. He charged me 40 plus dollars. For what???? A disgusting car and secret charges and upgrades without my knowledge!! RENTER BEWARE!!!! Go to Enterprise. I got a 2023 Jeep for 231ds and it smelled of cherries ? from Enterprise. I love Enterprise

Update- They did refund me $50, not even close to what I overpaid but I do appreciate a business that atleast tries to make things right.
The way Hertz does business makes you wish they had zero stars as an option on here.
Save your money and your sanity go literally anywhere else and get a vehicle.
I rented a car for $35 and agreed to an eight dollar insurance. I turned the car in but the employee waited to check the car in so I would be charged for an additional day.
somehow, they justified my bill to be $155.
Do not sign damage waiver!!!
I was told it was eight dollars and then on my bill it was $64. Just makes no sense.

Avoid renting Hertz Car at this Location!
My experience with Hertz Car Rental at 1618 NW Broad St, Murfreesboro, TN 37129, was beyond disappointing. I had made a reservation well in advance for an important business trip, only to have it abruptly canceled at the last minute without any prior notice. This completely threw off my plans and caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience.
I strongly advise anyone considering renting from this location to think twice and explore other options. Your time and peace of mind are worth more than the frustration and disappointment that Hertz Car Rental in Murfreesboro will inevitably provide.

The car smelled like dogs. There was dog hair ALL inside it. We had to buy several air freshener; vacuumed and washed it. It was disgusting. Dog drool was all over the windows. The air fresheners did not help one bit. The rear drivers side tire had a leak; we had to stop at least 4x to get air put in it. This was a nightmare. Going forward, I will take my business back to Enterprise.

I was a faithful gold member with Hertz. For years now I always rented the large size SUV because I'm 6'5 and need the leg room. I rented from them often. So I paid for a large size suv and was put in a kia so the following weekend I went back to rent again and expressed I was cramped in the small Kia. So i had a reservation for a large size suv. They offered for me to pay for a upgrade on a Tahoe. I did and after one day the Tahoe transmission starts to act funny. I called and called and called. No answer. I had to cut my trip short because I was scared of being stranded. I headed back. A 3 hour drive turned into a 20 hour drive. A half a tank of gas turned into 3 tanks of gas. Because of this I only ask to be refunded back the days I had to cut my trip short. They told me no. They have since ignored every request. I will no longer be renting from them. I will take my business else where.

They're prices beat anybody else. I got a beautiful Honda Civic with a full tank. The two gentleman that served me was great. Very friendly. My car was clean and did not stick. I rented for 5 days and got a great deal. No issues returning the car. Fast and friendly. Thank you guys!

Save your time and stress and rent elsewhere. Had to rent here due to availability and need for car repair from insurance. I received a car not in my same car class and when I asked, they told me that a Malibu is the same as an Impala or Altima. I have an Impala. If a Malibu was the same, Chevy wouldn’t have two different vehicles with very different price tags. All other rental places have Malibu’s/Altima’s until the same class and cars such as Impala’s in a class with a Maxima. The last time I got rear ended, I went to Enterprise and since they didn’t have the exact car available in my class they gave me a nice upgraded Ford Edge. They went above and beyond, unlike Hertz. Then, the car very clearly smelled like smoke. I came in to tell them. The guy helping me came out and sniffed it and said “I don’t smell anything.” As we walked in, the other person that came out with us, went to a different guy at the counter, threw his arms up in the air and mumbled something. It was clear that he was the one that cleaned it. The other guy gave him a look like he knew the smoke smell was gonna be an issue. However, then they said they could spray it again with the scent they use, but I declined that cuz it was just gonna make the smell worse. The he said I could try another one. He found another Malibu and when I went to look at that, it smelled like weed. I came back in and told him that. Then the same guy that recommended he spray it again with their scent, now changed his story to say that their scent can sometimes smell like smoke to people that are sensitive to smoke. That was just downright disrespectful and I was over it. If it was my insurance I was going through and I hadn’t already dropped my car off for repair, I would have just left due to the awful smell and unprofessional conduct of the team there. I will never use any Hertz again due to this experience here.

There was literally one employee that actually acted like he cared and that was only slightly. The other 2 especially the manager Ezzard just did not seem to care about the customers at all. Call ahead and make sure they take your credit card because apparently they are very picky on which CREDIT cards they will accept which makes absolutely no sense, then you get treated like you're wrong for it. If you want to run late and be completely stressed out this is your place. If not I would suggest going elsewhere. The only good thing was the vehicle, but after half a day stressed that still isn't great. Plus they have such a great deal for electric vehicles online and the electric vehicle is fantastic until you have to have it back almost fully charged and there is literally no fast chargers in Murfreesboro or the surrounding areas, so you can charge for 8+ hours or pay more. Which list be honest if you reserve online to try and get a discount you probably will end up paying more anyway because like I said they want to pick and choose how you pay them and so they can get you to change it up the day of and pay their prices instead of online.

Don’t leave ANY dirt or even drive the vehicle because they will threaten to charge $500.
I guess they don’t clean it after a customer uses it. Y’all have horrible star rating and have the audacity to act high and mighty ??
Update. Charged me almost $300 for a clean. I hope y’all shut down!!!!!!!! You don’t deserve decent people to take advantage of.

Horrible! If I could give them zero stars I would. Called at 4:30 P.M. saying they don’t have any cars and they have to cancel our rental for tomorrow morning. I was advised to call all of the hertz in the area to get a vehicle at the same price. I was surprised I was told to call every hertz in the area when they are the reason I need a vehicle on such short notice. So, I called all the hertz in the area and none of them have vehicles. Now we are stuck renting a vehicle for way more money if we can even find one to rent from another company. How can you be a rental car company that allows reservations if you don’t have any vehicles? We don’t know how we are going to get to this wake and funeral out of state. I advise against from working with this business and will advise others to do so.
