Oh my goodness gracious this place is amazing!!! I have heard about the food here for a long time.. about how just straight yummy it is....TRUTH!! I love fajitas and taco salads...Tienda La Tapatia combines my 2 faves into a mouth explosion of traditional Mexican beauty!!! The atmosphere is fun and festive!! The waitress RAWKED!! And the other patrons were friendly and talkative. It was like a family dinner where we all sat down together and ate and joked and caught up with each other!! Phenomenal Guys!! Check out this GEM in Monterey as soon as you can!!

Great customer service. Large selection of herbs, spices, dry goods, hats, boots, and a great restaurant. 10/10 make a stop. Greatest little bit of comfort on a road trip.

If you are driving from Knoxville to Nashville, TN or viceversa it’s a must you need to visit Monterey, TN exit 300. One half mile from I-40. Come and try their food it’s the best Mexican food you’ll find in the area. The minute you walk in the door you’ll get the attention like you are at home! Great food and excellent customer service! Price on the menu it’s reasonable. The owners is real friendly, his daughter a young girl full of energy and extremely friendly with everyone. She’ll call amigo right way!! Their tacos are delicious, the carne asada it’s excellent!

Our family loves this place. We make the 20mins drive for delicious authentic food. The owners are super sweet and their daughter is usually our server. She really sweet also and always checks on us and even knows what we typically order ? (we’ve been coming for years) I saw a few comments about the wait in the reviews and I think the food worth the wait but what we’ve done in the past is call in our order and they’ll start on it.. you just let them know that it’s to eat there! Definitely a hidden gem!

We found this little amazing authentic shop/restaurant on our way to Columbia, TN, how lucky are we! So good and the store was adorable and so well priced. We got the kids some cookies. They had homemade breads, pork belly and more! Go visit you won't regret it!
