This place is a joke!!! I paid way to much for a pair of glasses that was just lost. They gave me a bunch of excuses as to where they may be and then tried to tell me my husband had picked them up.

One of the most desirable locations in Memphis. Dr. Meade is exceptionally affable and knowledgeable. The receptionists are also delightful, exhibiting remarkable kindness and friendliness.

I’ve been going to the Regalia location since 2007. It use to be wonderful with an engaged and friendly staff that has become rude, disengaged and disinterested with poor customer service skills. If you must go to a My Eye Doctor location I recommend Moriah Road location. The staff is incredibly friendly and selection of frames is three times the size.

Took my disabled loved one to this particular location because of the 5 star reviews. The receptionist was fine, Dr. Hendrick was professional, and technician Randy went above and beyond by muscling the heavy medical examiner chair away so my loved one’s wheelchair could be positioned in its place, which I have never witnessed before ever done at any practice. The incredible and shocking letdown was experienced with the sales and billing associates. We were given no help with frames selection, and the sales associate gave me no response when I asked if the men’s frames were located behind where she was standing. She also didn’t want to do the extra work to give us a PD measurement, saying it’s not on file. She reluctantly obliged when I asked, don’t you have a simple tool that measures the PD. Lastly, we were not informed of any fees associated with the eye exam prior being seen. The billing associate voiced audibly enough for the entire room to hear what she directed toward me: “Remember to not do the eye pictures next time if you could not afford it.” Followed by, “Have a great day!” I responded back to her: I won’t remember a year from now (as if there is a next time at this location); how about telling us ahead next time any fee associated with the exam and we could tell you whether we wanted the picture done or not. I was deeply appalled and taken aback by her disrespectful demeanor and audacity. Ever since my loved one tragically became disabled for the last several years, I have taken him to countless medical appointments and I have yet to happen upon such a disrespectful employee in the medical field. FYI, my loved one has full insurance coverage and he sees a retina specialist. All his exams, pictures, tests, etc, are fully covered. I have also taken my loved one to this optical franchise at the Germantown location last year and everything went well and there was no hidden fee associated with the exam. If this Poplar location is doing something extra, it would be only appropriate to inform patients ahead of time of charges that insurance will not cover, instead of surprising and humiliating the patients at the end. Would not recommend this location for anyone who wish to be treated with the slightest sense of human decency.
