The seamster is amazing! He works magic designing clothes. You can even purchase imports and get it tailor made for you. The customer service was great. My first time in the store, I was assisted in finding a dress (gown, in my opinion), headdress/scarf to match. The colors of the materials are vibrant. Definitely returning, again to pick up a cute two piece skirt set waiting for me! Did I mention that they braid?

Friendly Atmosphere, there was a taste of Africa in the shop; dancing, singing, hair braiding and playing African musical instruments by African Musicians. There is a very large selection of African Attire to choose from, but a little disorganized

They have a great selection of African attire but the prices are too high! Not sure if they have any set prices because the lady I talked with started negotiating on price if I showed any dissatisfion. The dress I purchased was beautiful. They have a tailor on site, in fact it looked as though he was making the clothes right there. They have a great selection! The quality of the material is good. I also purchased a vest with a bowtie for my grandson and it was nice also. It was pricey for a vest but because it was exactly what I wanted and the only other way to get that type of vest is online, it was worth it. Although the prices are high, I would still recommend them....where else in the city can you find tailor made African clothing. Which is the reason for the price but the good part is you can negotiate.

Excellent service, Hawa and her mother are dear to my heart! They’re always so welcoming to their clients and willing to assist with your every need. Hair oil, clothing, hair styling, haircare, food, knowledge, hugs, customizations, etc…they have it all. This is my favorite place in Memphis!

I have had a few custom made pieces for myself and husband and they all turned out very nicely. The price was very reasonable for each piece. This is one of the best places to get your custom African made pieces for women and men.
