“You remember seeing those neighborhood hardware stores on TV? The kind like you walk in everyone greet you and they walk you down the aisle to help you find the stuff and the person that's helping you actually knows all about whatever it is you're trying to do? That's this place. You can walk in with just some rough idea about putting up a fence and whoever you talk to is going to be able to help you flesh that out get the tools you need and give you some advice and probably talk about the weather and some sports as well. They have a great little shop in the front that has some cute HomeGoods and home decor. The garden center is just okay. Sometimes he's plans with what they could use a little bit more love but it's a great local spot. Highly recommend”

“At a time when businesses everywhere are faced with worker shortages and forced to sacrifice customer service, Lansing, and Troy Vinsant in particular, blew us away! Building a new house means dealing with suppliers constantly. No experience we've had can compare. Troy took time (from his lunch no less) to answer every question and had the guys in back provide samples. Never rushed, it felt like we were his only clients. I believe Lansing is competitive, but I'm not even checking. This level of service demands, and has earned, our loyalty! Tim K.”

“I highly recommend this store. Not only are the employees friendly and professional, they are also willing to share great advice. I came to this store looking for some parts that I thought I needed for a plumbing project. Shelby, who works at this store, shared with me that he had been a professional plumber and offered me some free plumbing advice. After showing him photos of my project and explaining what I was trying to do, it turned out that my approach was unnecessarily complicated. Instead of needing to spend over $80 on parts from multiple stores, as I had planned, Shelby explained that some new rubber washers would probably solve my problem. I took his advice, it worked and only cost me a total of $2. Although Lowe's and Home Depot are closer to my house than this store. Elder's Ace Hardware of Rocky Hill has just become my go-to store for all future hardware needs.”

“Love the place, everthing is cheap priced considering. they always have decent stuff for what I'm doing with it, it'll last forever. It may not be the considered the best brands in the world but they work good. I'm happy with the place and everything I have bought there functioned as it should. The employees are always helpfulThe pictures are their Bauer angle grinders with aftermarket miter saw kit and the other is in a skill saw converter kit or angle grinder. The other is a 12-in chainsaw attachment for angle grinder which can be ordered from Amazon. Harbor freights angle grinders work great on all three of these aftermarket attachments”

The only concern I have is when you ship a product to the store, it seems like it takes forever and if you don't call to check on the status, you would never know when it has arrived. An improvement would be to add the ability to track your order, or for notifications to be sent to your phone. if this option is available, I did not find it.”
