Each time I visit the office the staff has been fantastic. Everyone treats you with respect handling each patient's information with respect and care. I really enjoyed Dr. Leavitt's staff members.

This office is the reason Yelp needs to have a zero star rating. The office staff is consistently rude and short. They answer their phones and immediately put you on hold. From there you either wait 5+ minutes or wait so long it transfers you to a voicemail. They don't keep good records as I've been seen recently and yet they magically have no records of me being there, even though I have charges in my account and claims on my insurance site saying I've been here. But they "cant see it" so I'm required to come in, and pay a copay. When I called to ask for a refill on a med they told me I hadn't been seen so I needed to come in, when I told them that wasn't accurate they still refused and told me to come in. So I asked for the manager. I was placed on hold and ultimately hung up on after 10 minutes. So I went to my appointment and quietly intormed the receptionist of their error. She was annoyed (as they all usually are about everything) and unhelpful so I once again asked for the manager. Manager came out, I explained including telling her I had receipts and her response was that I needed to be seen because they have no record of me being seen. Even though I have receipts. I then explained that this is why we are transferring our care elsewhere due to the consistent issues with the office. She stated that if I was transferring care and was unhappy that they would not be seeing me today. I told her that it was a medical necessity for me to have a refill on my meds and I couldn't get in with my new doctor for another month. She just looked at me and said nothing. At that point I informed her that if they were going to refuse to see me that they would be engaging in medical malpractice and patient abandonment. At that point I was informed I could be seen. This is NOT normally how I respond to things but refusing to refill a patients medications due to their dissatisfaction with their care/practices is not acceptable. On top of that, my appointment was literally 3 minutes long. They took a temp and a blood pressure, asked about my meds, and then the "doctor" came in, stood in the doorway and says "so you just need your med refilled? And it's to this pharmacy? Okay I'll have it sent". This is consistently the care you receive at this office. Physical exams are literally NO hands on. They listen to your heart and lungs, take your vitals and order labs. The care you receive is nonexistent. I would never recommend Leavitts. I gave them several years of chances and was continually disappointed which I can deal with but this is unacceptable, unprofessional and negligent.

Long wait, the Dr was unprofessional and dirty with food stains all over his shirt, just offered to prescribe a crap ton of meds. Didn't listen to anything he was saying about pain, it was ridiculous.

The following information and review could not have been accomplished without the creation and implementation of the Physician Payment Sunshine Act, a part of the 2010 Affordable Care Act. The investigation involving Pharma-doctor relationships started by an award-winning journalistic entity known as ProPublica, which was first opened in 2010. At first, financial ties between two specific medical entities (drug company & doctor) were sort of a cloak-and-dagger relationship, inadvertently resulting in reluctant payment reports that revealed certain drug companies and their financial relationship(s) with doctors--as a result of legal settlements with the federal government. Fresques (2019) published an investigative report that disclosed doctor prescribe that drug more heavily than doctors without such financial mutuality. The financial interactions and contingencies include payments for delivering promotional talks, consulting, and receiving sponsored meals and travel. And don't forget cash kickbacks in the form of U.S. currency. Often, such legal settlements were related to whistleblower lawsuits alleging improper/illegal marketing or kickbacks by the companies to doctors. Contemporary investigations by proficient journalists regarding the relationship between Pharma companies and doctors have unambiguously shown that doctors prescribe more of a drug if they receive money from a Pharma company tied to it (Tigas, Jones, Ornstein, & Groeger, 2019). Look at the attached ProPublica snapshot article. There are certainly instances of Pharma companies clearly going against the best interests of patient welfare. Doctors receiving ANY sort of compensation (i.e., food and beverage(s), cash, education, travel, etc.) from a Pharma company sometimes aggrandize this malevolent pertinency. Physician(s) accepting cash monetary kickbacks (as well as other forms of compensation) from Pharma companies have shown an increased pattern for prescribing those certain drugs from that company (in many cases prescribed without medical necessity). A perfect real-world example is involving the brand name prescription drug Myrbetriq. This drug, whose manufacturer is shown to have financial ties with Dr. Leavitt, is a perfectly crafted example of this dual physician-Pharma company vile relationship. Dr. Leavitt's financial ties with the drug company Astellas Pharma US Inc., which makes the drug Myrbetriq that treats overactive bladder(s), were exposed in an award-winning ProPublica investigation involving the financial ties between Pharma companies and doctors. The conclusion of the investigation was that physicians who received financial compensation from Myrbetriq's manufacturer (Astellas Pharma US Inc.) wrote 64% more prescriptions for the drug than those who did not receive compensation in 2016. I have attached proof in the form of a snapshot image. For example, Dr. Leavitt received several drug-related payments in 2016 from Astellas Pharma US Inc. involving Myrbetriq's listed in publicly available reports. I have attached snapshots to this review of publicly available data, obtainable by anyone that can access the internet, that show the disturbing monetary correlation. To succinctly pinpoint this Pharma-doctor correlation, a few documented instances show Dr. Leavitt received financial remittance from Astellas Pharma US Inc. on August 29, 2016, September 26, 2016, November 28, 2016, and December 05, 2016. This is only partially accounting for payments to Leavitt for the year 2016. If Dr. Leavitt prescribed anyone reading this the brand-name drug Myrbetriq in 2016, being inconsistent with its approved use for an overactive bladder, one might want to go back and scrutinize their medical records during that year contrived by Dr. Leavitt. It may contain clinically significant information that may need amended/corrected in one's medical records. For example, did Dr. Leavitt ignore certain drug interactions that Myrbetriq had with a patient's known list of active medications? It is important to note that Dr. Leavit

Stay away from Leavitt family medicine. They lack integrity and only care about the $$$$$ Outside of the fact that I had been shuffled around the revolving door of RN's that they couldn't manage to keep in the office, I finally had seen the same RN more than twice. I called the office recently, because I was getting low on an as needed prescription. The office said I needed a to be seen to have the prescription renewed and asked if i would prefer a virtual visit or in office. Being that I have 2 small children and a full time job I opted for the virtual visit (which is also supposed to only be a $20 co-pay per my insurance plan). My virtual visit consisted of the RN calling me and telling me that the office messed up and it had to be an in person visit, but she could call in a 1 month supply of my prescription in the meantime. I said no problem I'll call and make an appointment. I did and had my in person appointment a few days later. Next thing I know i have a $140 bill in the mail for TWO visits. Not only did they charge "in-person" rates for a tele-health visit. But they charged me for BOTH visits when the first one wasn't even a visit at all? It was a call telling me to schedule an appointment. I called and after speaking to 3 different people, I was told too bad, because I took the call and picked up the prescription. Thus, I was on the hook for the "appointment" and would have to pay for the virtual "visit", which they still categorize as an in person visit for insurance purposes. I will certainly never be back there and want to make sure others are aware of their unethical, money driven behavior! Such a shame that a local family practice would behave in such a way.

Dr. Leavitt has been my primary care doctor since 2008. I have always been more than happy with my care. He genuinely cares for my health and well being. He is always happy to answer my questions in depth at my appointments. His nurse and staff are caring, professional and they take care of everything I need right away. Whether I need prescription refills, referrals, or help scheduling an appointment, I can always count on them to take the best care of me. I highly recommend Dr. Leavitt and his team to anyone looking for a pcp.

When I moved to this area, I set this office as my primary physician. Before the pandemic, I visited twice and the people here were nice. After about a year into the pandemic, things very seriously changed. Nurses here are clearly overworked and stressed out. If you call for an update on results or appointments, they very dismissively tell you that they'll tell someone in the back and they'll call you back (they won't.) I met with 3 different unique doctors, and somehow Dr. Leavitt had the worst bedside manner, and although they might have experience, they did a very, very poor job of explaining potential underlying causes, and did absolutely nothing to help communication with the nearby hospital (side note - the hospital been a great place, comparatively.) My recent experience involves meeting with multiple doctors for unclear diagnoses (one of which was combated by the hospital), an unclear resolution to my issue, and absolutely no follow-up appointments or callbacks. My test results were available a few hours after a hospital visit that were supposed to be given to me by the doctor's office - I called 8 times over 2 weeks, to get repeatedly turned away. I gave up and called the hospital directly, and they told me the results were faxed the same day. The doctor's office caved and said they "only have 1 lab tech" and "things are chaotic". My results from the doctor's office (again, same results that were technically available the same day) were posted 72 days later. This place is borderline unprofessional now for anyone taking their health seriously. I strongly recommend anywhere else.

Horrible customer service! I asked for a tele appt with Dr. Leavitt and was refused service. I have been going here since 2013 and Dr. Leavitt was a horrible doctor. He seems drugged, slurring, and he prescribed me Valium for over 3 years. The withdrawals from getting over Valium took me almost two years. Dr Luke was great, but he isn't there anymore. The receptionist is rude, cuts me off during conversation. Find a better office. This place will take all your money but the minute you try to go elsewhere, they turn their back on you.

Due to circumstances beyond my control during the Covid pandemic I lost my job and health insurance. I could not afford an in office visit that this practice requires to renew prescriptions. Rather than renewing two prescriptions for my diagnosis of Major Depression, the office staff simply said "Come on back when you can make an appointment." After a few weeks of going cold turkey I developed panic attacks, insomnia, anxiety. My depression deepened to the point of having suicidal thoughts. At this point I called the practice but they did not return my call. A few days later I went to their office. They still refused to renew my prescription. I ended up at Hendersonville Medical Center. The E.R. physician was shocked that I had been taken off my meds cold turkey. A few days later, I received a letter from Dr. Leavitt telling me that he would no longer treat me!

This office doesn't even deserve one star. I've already placed a formal complaint with the BBB about how horrible this medical office is. But why not here as well? I went to Leavitt in September for a routine check up and the phlebotomy tech couldn't even get my blood for routine bloodwork. I was poked and prodded by all the techs they had that day and then told to come back the next day to try again. That happened 2 more days until the doctor herself tried and still couldn't get my blood. They sent me over to the hospital to have my blood drawn after day 3 of trying to do their jobs unsuccessfully. The woman at the hospital got my blood drawn on the first try and said that it was absolutely pathetic that no one at my doctor's office could do it. I AGREED. THEN, I received a bill for almost $1,000.00 from the hospital for the blood draw. So I have to pay that because Leavitt's staff is so utterly unskilled and unable to do their jobs. Not only are they unskilled and I had to go through all of that two months ago, today, I called for a routine medication refill, and was told that I would have to come in to be seen for this non-narcotic, basic refill. They just want to make me come in so that they can charge my health insurance with their copay. I will never set foot in Leavitt Family Medical again. I've NEVER had a worse experience with a doctor's office before. They are truly the worst.

As a critical care nurse for 23 years looking for a primary care provider, the following: NP Luke was cordial and professional. All testing and labs ordered as needed. Full H & P done. Appt was easy, insurance info taken care of. They were open, you know like a doctor's office! I called three other offices (new to town) and was told they were closed due to coronavirus. A doctors office closed due to coronavirus? See Dr Leavitt for your care, you'll be happy.
