Average grocery store, but I personally think the competition is a nicer experience, albeit at perhaps a slightly higher overall price tag.

Frustrating self checkout experience - bagger still managed to not give me all items that I paid for. They're trying to toe the line between fully self checkout vs fully staffed and need to commit one way or the other. I bought only about 10 items, was my own cashier, and yet the Kroger bagger still managed to misplace an item that I bought. I checked the bags by the register before I left and didn't see anything amiss, yet it was missing. No idea where they put it. Very frustrating - if you're going to make me be my own cashier, at least let me be my own bagger too. That way I don't have to worry about some old lady doing it wrong.

Can't say enough about how Tyler, Sam and Chloe came to the rescue with app issue and solved it and helped effortlessly. Great people and vibe and a clean atmosphere. But the 3 above were the real superheroes.

They were very kind and understanding regarding a refund which is something I never do so I was hesitant. I actually love their self checkout, because it accepts cash (unlike Publix.)
Overall they have a wider and cheaper selection of produce than Publix, just sometimes if slightly lesser quality.
The only reason I go to Publix over Kroger is Publix has a superior bakery, if only Kroger had a better bakery I would go to Kroger exclusively.

Horrible customer service stood for five minutes 9 months pregnant with my toddler while the staff chit chatted before asking them to come help me with a return. They then would not give me store credit for an item purchased at a different Kroger with a receipt.

Conscientiously kind and good services during shopping at here. Some clerks are greeting with same smiles for years.

This deli clerk was a little rude to me yesterday. I asked for American Cheese because there was none in the grab and go. He said what kind of American Cheese and I said white american. He said all we have is yellow and he seemed to question my color choice.

NEVER shopping at this Kroger or any other Kroger. Received the worst customer service I have ever seen in my almost 60 years. Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else.

I'm not a fan of Kroger's AI self-checkout process. I prefer shopping at Publix & other grocery stores. Where I am able to use their self-checkout services. Plus I get the option to bag the groceries my own way. I've worked in grocery retail for over 20+ years. I can professionally bag my own groceries 100 times better than any associate. I only shop here because of my mom. It's very rare that I shop here for myself. I used to work for the Kroger in Brentwood. But I would never again because the company couldn't afford to pay me enough to keep me. So yeah, I would definitely boycott Kroger in a heartbeat. Since the company itself believes that they can purposely buy out other companies. Truth be told that the only thing this company cares about is money & nothing else.

What kind of grocery store closes for a whole hour on a Sat afternoon at the busiest day and time possible for a lunch break without any signage or notification?? Will be sticking with Publix.

There are no human checkout lines. They are all self checkout lines. I tried to go on my lunch break, and I ended up being late coming back to work because it took so long. It was a comedy of errors as the belt had issues, the computer had issues, the poor guy nagging was trying to help… absolutely fiasco. Won’t be back. Whole Foods is just as bad. Publix just won ALL my grocery business. They check the items out for me, they bag them for me, and they even offer to take the groceries to the car for me.

Don't like the self checkout, it's the only option
