Good spot for the price. Smart tvs were nice. Bad TV reception. There are small roaches but it didn't bother me. Good water pressure. Friendly staff. Kind of noisy outside, and the rooms have thin walls so be

The room was infested with roaches! & they wouldn’t refund us for our stay. Other than that, very nice rooms. Comfortable bed and pillows! Location was great, there is everything nearby in walking distance. I would not stay here again due to the roaches. We killed probably 30 of them!

Newly Renovated, and the room was perfect for the night during our trip through. Basic needs met, clean bed, shower, hot water, and TV. Love the shower head, its like a rainfall. Close to highway, gas station, food. My only negative is the pillows are very stuffed and firm, hurts my neck, but still good for one night. EDIT, boyfriend loved the bed and pillows.I was confused whether or not we get breakfast in morning, it says so on google, but the answer is no. Just coffee in the lobby avaliable, boyfriend drinks it - I don't. He's picky with what he puts in the coffee, so we did not use it.

Have you ever paid for something and didn't get what you paid for, of course you have. But when you pay for a two night stay at a hotel/motel and only get one night, that is an entirely different situation. I did just that, paid for two nights and the front desk person said that they only received one night payment from the booking company. I showed them my confirmation email and proof from my bank that I had in fact paid for two days, but they basically said that it wasn't their problem. The booking company was willing to contact the motel once I provided proof, but because I don't hold my tongue in these matters, the motel would not honor that. Loved the rooms, staff was great. The only reason why they got the rating I gave them is the front desk day manager. He wanted me to just be quiet and hear his point of view. It didn't matter if I was a paying guest. He got the wrong guest this time. So, if you are in Chattanooga TN and are looking for a place to stay while here that values you as a guest, you need to look elsewhere.Rooms: Rooms are nice. Concrete floors, contemporary styling. No frills, but good for the priceNearby activities: East Ridge isn't a destination location, but it's basically in Chattanooga, so lots to do for tourists.Safety: On a busy street, but lots of police presence. Some homeless in the area, but no problems with anyone.Walkability: Sidewalks available, but too far from Chattanooga's tourist spots to walk.Food & drinks: Continental breakfast available. Fast food and sit down restaurants are close by.Noteworthy details: Sensitivity training is needed for the front desk person. Everyone else is friendly and helpful.

I understand that this is a budget hotel but that doesn’t mean it needs to be dirty. There is a level of cleanliness that should be maintained and that was not the case here. Upon entering the room, everything looks fine but with closer inspection it is pretty gross. There were flies buzzing around the room, my bed had hairs all over the sheets and pillows, and the towels were stained and smelly. It was very obvious that the bedding was not clean and not washed. Aside from the dust and hair all over, the pillows and sheets smelled used and that made it very hard to sleep. The towels were tiny, stained, and in poor condition which made me decide taking a shower wouldn’t be worth it. The night stand had sticky residue left all over. The bathroom door had stains and what I can only assume was blood splatter on the back of the door. Speaking of the door, not only did it not lock, it didn’t even close all the way which made it a bit difficult to share an room. The shades do not fully cover the windows and there was a bright light right outside the room so again, very difficult to sleep with the light pouring into our room all night.Overall, a good place to stop if you need a break from a long road trip for a night but bring your own sheets and towels.

The sketchiest, scariest hotel I've ever been to. I would NOT lay in that bed or bring children there. People hanging out the parking lot, dozens of guests standing in open doorways of their rooms, people staring at me as I parked my car, and when I turned on the light to my room, cockroaches were everywhere scurrying away. The room smelled like mold. I went to the hotel front desk to ask for another room and the woman did not seem surprised by my telling her there were cockroaches. She moved me to a "quieter and cleaner" room on the other side of the hotel. When I opened the door to the second room, the smell of urine knocked me back. It smelled like a dark corner of a New York subway station. I grabbed my bags and went back to the front desk to let them know I would not be staying. The man at the front desk would not issue a refund because I had been "checked in for 1 hour," with no consideration for time spent parking, unloading, going back to the front desk, reloading, moving, etc. I cannot understand how this hotel managed to get so many positive reviews unless they rallied friends to submit them. The reviews are the reason I chose this hotel, but Stay Express Inn Chattanooga should be condemned by the health department. For those reviews that say, "You get what you pay for," my response is a hard no! You could not pay me to stay in this hotel.

For the price this place is excellent. Rooms were relatively clean and the renovations were really nice. There was a roach running around when we first got there but to be fair, it's the south and they are everywhere. The only complaint I had was the breakfast. I often book with a hotel for the breakfast to save money. They only offered white bread toast, some subpar jam packets, and a little cereal. Even if they offered bagels it would be a little better. The coffee was surprisingly decent though. Overall impression "it was fine"

Honestly, for the price, they were amazing. Clean rooms, softest warm beds, WORKING AC, walk in shower and I heard they have plans for a dog park soon. They are also right by the highway and perfect for a stay over. The rooms with the AC running was super quiet and I actually felt like I slept all night. Only thing is that it didn’t feel 100% safe but the doors were heavy. The window’s could also be covered a bit more but if you’re tired enough it doesn’t matter.

I just “ love” when people pick the cheapest hotel in the area and then find all kind of reasons to not like it.Our room was very nice, very clean with huge TV and plenty of clean towels .It was very quite despite standing right to the busy road. Our room didn’t have concrete floors as mentioned in reviews . It was covered by manufactured wood and looked very nice. Bathroom was very clean with nice hot shower. Mattresses were foam and I personally love them That’s all we needed for overnight stay and continued with our trip .Of course we heard people conversing while passing by our room but the fact is we live in a world full of people. We saw lots of families with kids staying here .

Update: Recommended this spot to a friend. There experience was atrocious. The room they were given was dirty, and outdated. There was 2 pillows, and no towels. When they asked for another pillow and some towels it was a problem. Check out is at 11am, at 10am the key card was deactivated. They informed him that it is part of there policy. I will never use this place again. I am embarrassed I told a friend to use this place. The hotel exceeded my expectations. I wasn't expecting much for the price point. But the rooms were updated and clean. I loved they had no carpeting in the room, much easier to keep germs at bay. My pillows were super comfortable. The room had a fridge and microwave, which you'd think are standard but many hotels at this price point don't have them. There's no coffee maker but they have coffee in their main lobby every morning which is nice. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Now my only complaint and it's minor is when I was staying I had an overly stinky truck parked outside my room 1 night. It was blowing exhaust into my room. I think the hotel needs to make a no backing into spots policy. I stuffed a towel under the door and it fixed the problem however if you can do second floor I'd recommend it.Safety: Seemed safe and well maintainedWalkability: Can walk to a few spots for food and basic needs

This was a very nice hotel newly remodeled. I would have given them a 5 star but we didn't have hand towels no carpeting and the drainage in the shower bathroom needs work. But the bed and pillows were comfortably. The front desk woman was very nice. The price was the best.

The rooms have been renovated. The bed had a good mattres. The TV had many apps. The wi-fi was good. The room included a microwave and mini-fridge. The area was a bit on the sketchy side. I saw what appeared to be a homeless man walking through the parking lot late at night. It is very close to I-75. The floor seemed to need a dust mop. On the morning of my checkout, They have cheap so-called environmental toilets that struggled to flush correctly. I had to request a plunger. I awoke to a couple of roaches in the bathroom.

For a budget price we were expecting far less, but they have recently refurbished the whole complex and it is both very tidy and clean, but also comfortable.Got to say...the beds, are THE most comfortable beds I've slept on for a VERY long time and pillows and linen were of equal quality. For a budget stay when you're on the road, you probably won't beat this place. Staff were prompt and helpful too. Highly recommended!

An okay stay. Nice and peaceful. A good value for the price per night. The poolarea was closed which was a big dissapointment. A little outside of town but nothing a good uberdrive could not fix. Clean and fresh rooms. Very hard concrete floors.
