I absolutely love Pyramid! The Muay Thai program is fun, educational, and (of course) a great workout! A great mix of skill levels from first day beginners to people who have trained a few years to professional and amateur fighters. They also have ju jitsu, fitness kickboxing, and crossfit.Definitely the best choice in Bartlett/East Memphis!

Beginner and out of shape? It didn’t matter! They made it work for me!
Thanks to the team for the support and building an awesome community I could workout with and grow with!
I’m forever grateful for pyramid CrossFit.

I was on the lookout for a close drive, fun and challenging place to train so I stumbled upon this awesome place! Facility was clean, the class started at 8:30 sharp, from the warm up- kickboxing combination until the stretching- it was an amazing experience! Owner/ trainer Eric was super supportive and made the whole experience very fun and at the end of the class I was drenched, underneath me was a puddle of sweat and I knew this was a winner! I worked hard and got a good sweat! I will be signing up and a regular here'

I hate working out. HATE IT. I'd rather sit on my couch and stuff my face with donuts while I binge-watch TV. So I was surprised when I found myself looking forward to the classes here. I've always thought kickboxing was a little too intimidating for me but I feel comfortable coming to UFK because of how encouraging and friendly the staff is. The classes are INTENSE and I usually have to take a break (or two...or three...) but so so fun and you'll find that time goes by pretty fast. It's usually a smaller group most times I've been there so you get more individualized attention, which was important to me. The best part is that you can go at your own pace. If you need to sit down and take a break, no one's going to come over and call you out. You work as hard as you want. I've taken classes with most of the instructors but Torian is my husband and my absolute favorite! Very engaging and friendly! It's been 4 months and I feel like I'm in much better shape already. Continuing our membership here is a no-brainer.

Great staff, clean facility and the best workout you'll find. The trainers push you to the max, and you'll leave tired -- but satisfied.

Talk about an incredible workout! They start the class off slow with some burpees and a little bit of running, then its punching bag time! He teaches you a few combinations that end up really starting to kick you in the butt. Im not gunna lie, I left that class absolutely dripping in sweat. We all did for that matter. I definitely like how they change things up, and how sore I was the next day! They constantly keep my body on its toes!

If you want to get in shape...this is your place. I am legitimately terrified of the classes here, but I know with every fiber of my being that if I want to lose weight, feel great, and kick some ass, this is where to go. You can lose upwards of 500 calories a class and sometimes people tell me that and I look at them all skeptical...but there is no doubt here...at all. I can barely walk the three days afterwards. Just bought some pink gloves and wraps so I can go here on the regular! I'm getting in shape, y'all!

You walk in and immediately feel like you're in a scene from Never Back Down. You get this feeling like you really are conditioning for a legitimate kickboxing match. I am new to kickboxing in general, so I was intimidated when I first walked in. However, it is everything less than intimidating. The instructor explains every move thoroughly, and there is zero judgement if you are not doing something right/can't do something the others can. Their motto: "It's your workout." I love that. They let you go to the best of your ability, and that is more than enough. It is not too tough to where you are crawling out of there, but you definitely wake up with sore muscles the next day!

I can say without exaggeration that this place changed my life. A year ago, I was basically a couch potato who had done maybe a handful of zumba classes all year and no membership with any gym that really stuck or got utilized. Then UFK had a livingsocial deal and I was just getting into watching MMA fights, so I was like ok why not. I may never be a fighter but I needed to get fit. After one class, I was instantly hooked -- it was a full body workout, and FUN -- I didn't realize how much pent up aggression I had but I def pictured a few people's faces on those bags and felt so much better after each class. I signed up for a 1 yr membership and it was absolutely worth it. The owner/teacher at the time (John Trent) also inspired me to start running and helped me tremendously with training. In the last year since joining UFK, I quit smoking, ran my first 5K (and more races since), worked up to 10K, and trained for Warrior Dash. I went from a once-a-blue-moon unwilling zumba-goer to someone who WANTS to work out. The thing that sets this place apart from all other gyms is that in addition to the tools to improve my fitness, I got a changed mindset -- to always have my eye on the next goal. As far as the classes go, all of the teachers are really motivating and they keep class interesting. I can say that after 1 yr, punching and kicking the lights out of a big ol' bag has never ever ever gotten boring.

Great workout! My first visit was a Yelp Fitness Event. The staff was really helpful with explaining and demonstrating the moves. I felt comfortable to go at my own pace while they still encouraged us to push ourselves. The facility was clean and well kept. They have gloves but with all that sweating I strongly encourage you to bring your own.

This was my first kickboxing class and if I thought the circuit suspension class was hard, this class was twice as hard. I am glad I got to try it out with fellow yelpers and many were new to kickboxing also. The instructors were helpful and not too intense. Class started with us running with weights, shuffling, squats, stretching, push-ups and so on. Basically I was sweating after a couple of minutes of class having started. Then the kickboxing started, it gives you a good workout high, where you know tomorrow your whole body is going to be sore but totally worth it. At the end I was wiped out. I am not the most fit person but this class is great for anyone trying to get in shape. I am looking forward to coming back and hopefully bring friends with me, its always fun to have a little friendly competition. This class is definitely a stress reliever, I walked in feeling kinda 'meh' and walked out feeling awesome.

I loved taking a kickboxing class here! The instructor Chris was very encouraging and helpful. It was definitely a tough work out and you'll be dripping sweat by the end, but you'll feel amazing once it's over. I can't wait to come back for my 10 free classes!
