I recently spent about 3 hours waiting for an oil change and recall fix for a software update that took longer than normal. The service advisor was very friendly, and kept me informed of the progress. The service waiting area is pretty drab with a slight depression feel. It could definitely use some fresh paint in a brighter color and more comfortable chairs would be appreciated by all. I was surprised that Honda didn’t have or offer a shuttle service, or loaner car program, as I could have waited at home in comfort, or run the errands I needed to while waiting. Definitely bring a book or a fully charged phone for entertainment while you wait.
I gave 4 stars for the level of customer service I was given, as the extra time it took was not the advisor’s fault, but sounds more like an upload issue Honda should really look at fixing.

Working with James at Freedom Honda was an absolute pleasure. I usually hate "car-buying time" because I can't stand the issues associated with car salesmen. We communicated with James and Sam (Internet Sales Manager) for a few days before taking the trip to Sumter. Meeting them was great, and they had us in and out in a short time. They also got us a deal that we couldn't get matched at any other Honda dealer in SC. Overall, I highly recommend James Monet at Freedom Honda. If he is still selling cars there when find ourselves in the market again, we'll be back.

I have bought four vehicles from this dealer. They are clearly the best Honda dealer I have ever dealt with! Best deals. They make it happen. Further they have the most responsive service department. Bobbi and Chris are top notch.

Fantastic experience! I highly recommend Elijah that’s who helped my husband and I on our purchase and I couldn’t be anymore happier. He listened to our needs and made sure we got that in the vehicle that we chose and made sure we left happy. The other employees as well as Mr Sam were very nice and accommodating THANK YOU MR.SAM!! It was just an all around great experience and I will recommend them to anyone who’s looking for a vehicle! So stop what you’re doing and come see them TODAY!!

After 5 years of dealing with Freedom Honda, I can say 100% I'll never deal with them again.
I've have had issues with the power door lock mechanisms on my Accord in the past & have had them replaced, so when another door started acting up, I knew what the issue was. I initially tried to schedule a service in May for a new driver's door lock actuator & was told the part wasn't in stock. Service transfers me to the parts department. Parts department advised the part was out of stock & backordered. They took my information & stated they would call when the part was in stock. In the coming weeks, I'd made several calls to the Freedom Honda parts department for updates, two different reps claimed what I needed was still backordered. The backorder date came & went & they never returned my calls. A week after the guaranteed date they gave me (July 6th), I called them for an update, to which I was told it was still not in stock, along with a subtle helping of attitude from the parts rep. I call the Florence Honda dealer (Cale Yarborough) & they had it for me to pick up the next day as I often work in Florence, it wasn't an inconvenience. I live in Sumter, so I scheduled the service using the Freedom Honda website, 3 days ago.
Upon arrival this morning, not only did they had no record of said appointment I scheduled, they told me they have a "no outside parts" policy, & they claimed the part I'd been looking for was, amazingly, now in stock. On the bright side, the service rep told me they still had a light load & should be able to get it done today despite them showing no appointment was made in their system. I still had hope at this time, mistakes happen.
So picture this, I'm standing with the GENUINE OEM HONDA part in hand they tell me I can't use, sealed in the bag. The part they claim they haven't had in months after multiple calls, yet, wow, they have it the day of the service. Of course, I trusted them as a reputable dealer because of my past dealings, I didn't ask for names when I spoke to the parts department, yet the service rep asked who I spoke to implying I may have been being dishonest (or confused). There's apparently no record I ever contacted the Freedom parts or service department for this issue, much less, multiple times.
Then, & this is the kicker, did the service rep take even a modicum of initiative? Did he say something along the lines of, "I'm not sure what happened there, but we can help you today. You can buy our part, we'll install it today, then you can take the old one back to the other dealer for a refund"? No, that would be too good of customer service. No, instead the service rep not once but twice told me that I "must have been dealing with the other dealership (Cale Yarborough) the entire time." Who would say something like that?! I refused service & left after asking why he thought I was apparently incompetent.
If you are naive enough to use this dealership in the future, make sure you document & log every person you speak to & detail every time & date of your interactions with them so you can keep up with their lack of accountability. I have purchased a car from Freedom in the past & dealt with their service department without a hitch, I trusted them. Now I've got a part in hand I can't use, a service department that questions my mental acuity, and a parts department with no records of an entire summer of trying to get an issue fixed. I'm going to have to seek an independent mechanic to install this locally which is always a gamble.
Lastly, it's not only service/parts that have taken a decline at Freedom Honda. Earlier this year, I went to purchase another vehicle from them. I dealt with the same salesman I did from over 5 years ago, and he not only seemed disinterested to assist me or return my calls, bu

Go see Eric Burke if you need a car. This is a straight up, honest guy to deal with. Echo the same comment about the owner (Tim.)
I have bought many cars in my lifetime and this was the quickest, simplest, no hassle experience I have ever had! I cannot say enough about them! No, I am not related nor was I even acquaintances with them (prior to) buying a car.

We hit a tire tread on our way home from vacation and damaged our bumper. Chris, the service center manager, could not have been nicer! He helped us out as soon as we got there and was able to put the bumper back together/tape it up enough to get us back home.

Eric, Daniel, and Loleta have been a pleasure to work with. They were all extremely helpful in the entire purchasing process, picked me up from my rental car location, and went the extra mile to make sure the whole process went seamless and stress free. Highly recommend Freedom Honda, they have a very nice selection of vehicles to choose from and the staff is very friendly. Would purchase from them again in the future. Thanks!!

I had a great sale experience with Eric, He was a straight shooter from the start. I don’t like surprises and what he agreed to or said that is what happened. This was my first experience at Freedom Honda but will not be my last.
Thanks
