“Several years ago when a hurricane hit Manning, Walmart and Piggly Wiggley both shut down due to no electricity. Both stores did not open until power was restored. The Manning IGA opened, despite not having any power. People went shopping with flashlights provided by the store.IGA served their customers the right way and not the most convenient way.”

“What an unbelievable (positive) experience!!! My order came to $10.83. I gave the checker $11.00. She thought I had given her $10.00. Rather than ask me for an additional $1.00, she pulled out a dollar bill from her OWN pocket. I corrected her and asked for a recount. She then saw that I had given her more than the full amount. I was speechless….this young woman was going to give me money from her own pocket! Wow……Talk about incredible customer service. I was thrilled that the manager allowed me to give her a “tip” for her kindness.”
“The store was pretty well stocked. Good number of employees available to answer questions and were stocking shelves. Plenty of parking. I’d say a little bit above your average super Walmart.”
“This Dollar General is by far the best I have ever shopped. All of the isles were clean and easy to walk down. The shelves were full and all the merchandise was fronted and organized. Each person I passed smiled and spoke, and the staff was extremely friendly. The staff is on point with their efforts in this store and they should be proud!”

“The employees were all very kind and helpful. I'm not from the area, so it was nice to be able to ask for help, and the employees were all more than willing to help. The gentleman at the bakery helped to choose a desert. The gentleman working in the one isle was able to help us find these chips we were looking for. Then, the sweet lady up front, I think she was the manager. We wanted some lottery tickets, but I wasn't sure if we needed cash. While she was printing the tickets, we talked about our experience at the resteraunt up the street. We had her rolling. Very nice experience. The store was clean and stocked.”
