I have shopped at this publix countless times each time bringing my partners cat (who is an esa) into the store and have NEVER had issues in fact he usually gets lots of love and pictures taken of him by both employees and shoppers. This time, while in the process of shopping (I had a very full cart of groceries) we were approached by the manager of the store and were immediately told "You need to leave the store with your cat." She did not ask if he had certification, she just told us to leave. I proceeded to ask her about their rules about pets because like I stated before, we've brought him in countless times. So she proceeded to tell us to leave again then followed us out of the store while calling the police. As if we are criminals? It would've went so differently if she would've had the common decency of asking if he was an ESA, the whole interaction almost caused my girlfriend to have a panic attack because we just spent so much time getting our groceries. I feel extremely disrespected and honestly will never shop here again. I went to Ingles instead because they also love our little furry friend.

Publix makes excellent hoagies (Italian is my favorite) and their prepared foods are very good as are the soups!

I have had the pleasure of frequenting the meat department at the Publix in Seneca, SC, and I must take a moment to commend one outstanding employee: GAVIN. His exceptional knowledge and dedication to his craft truly set him apart.
From the moment I approached the counter, Gavin greeted me with a warm smile and a willingness to assist. His expertise in selecting the highest quality cuts of meat is impressive. I’ve always appreciated his attention to detail and his ability to recommend options based on my preferences.
One particularly memorable experience involved a dinner party I was hosting. I was in a bind, unsure of what to serve, when I decided to consult Gavin. He suggested a stunning marbled ribeye that he personally handpicked for me. Not only did the steak elevate my dinner party to a whole new level, but it also turned out to be a critical moment for my guest, who had been feeling down. After tasting the delicious meal, they commented that it reminded them of happier times. That night sparked meaningful conversations and laughter, bringing everyone closer together. I genuinely believe that without Gavin’s expert recommendation, the evening wouldn’t have had the same uplifting impact. In a way, his meat saved the day—and maybe even my friendship!
Beyond his impressive skill set, it’s Gavin's attitude that makes the experience truly exceptional. He is always upbeat, friendly, and genuinely interested in helping customers find exactly what they need. It’s clear that he takes pride in his work, and his enthusiasm is contagious.
I am grateful for the outstanding service I receive from Gavin each time I visit. He embodies the values of Publix and makes shopping in the meat department a pleasure. I highly recommend seeking out Gavin for your meat needs—you won’t be disappointed!

Best deli sandwiches anywhere. All the deli personnel are very helpful. The only store I found in the area carrying Hoffman's german hot dogs. Only hot dogs we eat.

Very clean. This store contains an upstairs dining area for eating. There is an elevator for those who need it. The store is very well organized. I could think of about anything they have and I'll know exactly where it is.

Overall, this is still a top tier grocery company. However, it is glaringly apparent the company continues to cut corners on service and products in order to maintain its gross margin goals.
Example: Publix frozen turkey breasts are on sale for $1.99 lb. However, each breast comes with, not one but two 8-oz gravy packets. These packets are not complementary as many people believe but are, in fact included in the product sold by weight. Another words, buying a turkey breast means you are also paying the turkey breast price for one full pound of gravy.
I bought a turkey breast and the net weight was 5.9 lbs. After thawing and removing the gravy packets the net weight of the actual turkey was 4.2 lbs. So, in fact the actual price of the turkey itself was $2.79 per pound. Also, who would need a full pound of gravy for a 4 pound turkey breast?
It's small little things like this where the company continues to gouge its customers in the name of profit that is slowly turning me from a loyal patron to someone that is beginning to only shop and purchase their sale items.
