“It's honestly nice to have a good African store in town. Being Nigerian it's hard to find what I need for traditional dishes and this place has it. Normally I'll have to wait to visit family in Atlanta but now I don't have to! The gentleman that runs the store is also very nice and helpful I can't wait to continue shopping there!”

“You may not want to order food here because of atmosphere. Very old and run down inside but the service and kindness along with a very fresh homemade Chicken salad sandwich was worth it! I was visiting Charleston with my hubby and dog and wanted something quick to take on a picnic. Enjoying the beautiful day. My husband had the roast beef. It was very fresh as well. Plenty of chips and soda selection. A great place for a quick delicious meal!”

“Dollar General is a typical discount store, but it saved the day for me. I co-hosted a political event nearby and needed helium balloons. My go-to for this is normally a grocery store, but I didn't know this area and was short on time. Admittedly, I don't usually shop at Dollar General, but this was the closest store to the Iron Workers 848 Union Hall, so I tried it. The Gen-Z workers inside were patient with a frantic millennial organizer who needed balloons. They have helium balloons for only $1.50 each, blown up. I purchased a couple of blue and silver balloons shaped like stars. The staff quickly inflated them, checked me out, and I was on my way. My only recommendation for customers is to be careful not to miss the entrance, as I had to park in the lot next door and walk over.”
“I've shopped a couple of times here with a friend who loves the unusual offerings here. She buys yukka root and such for her mostly vegan diet. I love the spices and mixtures for very reasonable prices. One drawback is the post-Christmas chaos that occurs in the seasonal aisle. You owe it to yourself to spend time for a leisurely tour to see which products reach out and grab you. I promise you will come home with some real treasures. And, be sure to register for their special deals.”

“Have you ever seen a sign at register……this register closed? I did last night at the Publix I always shop at. It was super busy and the assistant manager was giving a helping hand. “Such a terrific place that I did not know was so near my work place. This could be dangerous! It’s sort of a coffee shop; they have a full selection of coffee drinks. But I also had a very delicious premade roasted red pepper, spinach, and pesto sandwich on focaccia today, and there is a neat variety of other market foods, including what looked like delicious croissants and other pastries. (I assume they have to be delicious since I think they come from Baguette Magic.) I can’t wait to try the curry chicken salad that I saw in the cooler. I saw food menus, too, in addition to the premade selections. Great outdoor seating! Looks like I will be working to support my Market purchases. :-)”
“Always use your food lion card also take the time to down load all the coupons and send them to your phone, groceries are expensive everywhere save when you can. Also store is very clean and well stocked.”
“I did all my Thanksgiving grocery shopping and when I got home I realized I forgot celery- I I had to run back out, and was pleasantly surprised to find that the Save a Lot on Durant and Rivers is under new ownership- and is now spotlessly clean and everybody is very pleasant - produce looks good too! If you forgot a staple item- easy peasy-hassle free shopping! Happy Thanksgiving all!”

I've been from North Charleston, SC to Jacksboro, TN, Tazewell, TN and Strunk, KY and back to Eutawville, SC and all DG's are sorry unclean, unorganized and the most bared shelves I've ever seen and I'm a big fan of DG, but until today. I was looking for another place to shop but I will travel once a week for 1.5 hr's and back just to shop at this location. This store needs some recognition and be rewarded. “Every time I visit a new city and I'm driving through their neighborhoods, I make an effort to spot different cultural shops, stores or restaurants and this little Mexican Carniceria was quite surprising. I was expecting to find your typical taqueria in the back of the store, but I was excited to find that they also sold raspados!I was super excited because ever since I moved out of LA and to Atlanta, I have not been able to have a raspado in many years. It was really good and it reminded me of home, but I was a bit disappointed when they didn't have any vanilla flavor and had to get a half coco and half strawberry. They also provided the "La Lechera" brown drizzle instead of the original "Carnation" white condensed milk, but in all, it was good.Lastly, I did order a chicharron quesadilla, but the chicharron was a bit soft, instead of crispy, but overall it had a good flavor and it was huge! So I highly suggested come with an empty stomach.”
