My car battery died with a storm coming in, so I stopped in without an appointment to see if Lowcountry could help me. Even though they were servicing other vehicles too, I was back on the road with a new battery in just over an hour. Thanks very much to the entire Lowcountry crew for your pleasant, professional service.

On Friday, June 7th, 2024, I scheduled an appointment at Lowcountry Automotive for some work to be done on my vehicle. On Sunday, June 9th, 2024, I had my vehicle towed to Lowcountry Automotive for repairs.
During the pickup process, my keys were misplaced. Luckily, the towing company was still able to tow my vehicle safely and efficiently.
On the morning of Monday, June 10th, 2024, I reached out to Lowcountry Automotive to update them on the issues with my vehicle. I also had to drop off the key for my door. I was told in person that an unknown locksmith would be out very soon as he was local. However, I was never contacted, emailed, or messaged at all on Monday, June 10th, 2024, about the status of my vehicle.
On Tuesday, June 11th, 2024, at 09:30, I stopped at Lowcountry Automotive and noticed that my truck was still sitting in the same location. I asked the girl at the front desk why my vehicle wasn't being diagnosed yet. She told me that the unknown locksmith never showed up, so they were still waiting on him. I received zero communication about the unknown locksmith not showing up to complete the work that was supposed to be done the day before.
I'm very frustrated and upset with both the unknown locksmith and Lowcountry Automotive for their total lack of customer service, compassion, or empathy towards my situation and frustrations.
All I received for zero communication and no work done on my truck was a monotone apology. So, I stormed out of their shop. A few minutes later, I called and spoke to Ella, who identified herself as the shop manager. She personally told me that a locksmith would be arriving within the hour, as he was right down the street. However, this one hour turned into me not receiving a call until 12:51 PM on June 11th, 2024, so I was unable to pick up the vehicle as I was working. Once again, I was unable to retrieve my vehicle.
On June 12th, 2024, I paid for and received my vehicle via a tow company. After my vehicle was dropped off at my home, I put my key into the ignition to start the vehicle, which worked fine. However, I then tried to shut off the vehicle but was unable to do so. Luckily, I was able to stall the engine. The new ignition is stuck in the on position and will not move or turn off.
I called Lowcountry Automotive on June 12th, 2024, and left a voicemail. I received a call back at 13:26 PM from a male employee. He asked me what was going on, so I explained that once I started my truck, I was unable to turn it off because the ignition was stuck on. I had to stall the engine to stop it, and now I cannot get the vehicle ignition to switch off or the key out.
The male employee informed me that I would have to be given the information of the locksmith because they were not responsible for it. I expressed my frustration with what seemed like passing off the issues to someone else, even though the front office employees at Lowcountry Automotive recommended the locksmith to perform the work, and the locksmith was directed by the employees to come onto their property. After hearing this lackluster response, I became too frustrated to deal with the lack of every aspect of customer service.
With 15 years of genuine customer service experience, I am not naive when it comes to recognizing when someone is deflecting blame, showing extreme lack of empathy, and possessing zero compassion for their customer-based business. I would never wish this experience on anyone. It is very disheartening and frustrating, especially coming from a locally owned business.
*****Update on Wed June 12th 2024, I went outside to take pictures of the stuck ignition and I noticed that it's the same exact ignition. A new ignition comes in chrome or in black which will match the keys, I have chrome keys and a black ignition, do the math and please AVOID!!!!!

Jason and his team at Lowcountry Automotive are the best! Not only are they super knowledgable, professional, and friendly; but they keep you up to date and informed on progress, get your vehicle back to you in a timely manner, and they are reasonably priced. They will always be my top choice for auto repairs, and the place that I recommend everyone else to take their vehicles too!

Van was sent by our auto body shop here for repairs and the problem was not fixed. We had to wind up trading the vehicle in because we didn't trust it.

Our Dodge Ram developed the dreaded tick and Lowcountry came to our rescue. The mechanic was very helpful and kept us informed during the entire process. Office personnel was more than willing to work with us financially. Only place we will take our vehicles to have work done.
