Shady.They delivered a mobile home for us and never came back to set it up. Lawsuit pending. I absolutely do not recommend.

The father and the son (Jr) both promised to come give me an estimate for 6-8 months then stop answering my calls and text after asking me send them info needed to do type mobile home moving estimate. Then later answers phone after months wanting 1/2 up front.

Wish I could give negative stars. This man destroyed our home so bad that it couldn't be moved just 3 miles down the road. He didn't even make it 30 feet before he almost flipped it over then dropped it to the ground causing damage to the frame an alot more inside to the ceiling, windows, doors, sheetrock, and more. Then he left it wide open in 2 separate pieces for months for mold to grow in it. He stopped answering calls and took off with our 5000 deposit. Our insurance adjuster considered it a total loss. This is our home that were living in and still making payments on. LLR did nothing, our insurance did nothing since it was his fault. He lied and told use he had a huge insurance policy to cover any damages that could possibly happen. He talked all big and we believed him which was our mistake. We messed up by not reading the fine print on the receipt/ contract that basically says he isn't responsible. By the way no one could confirm he actually has insurance and he we found out it isn't required for him to have any in SC. Stay far away from this crook. He also has a history of doing things like this but we found out too late.

Chavis moved a mobile home across the road from me and has left insulation and siding all over the place. Threw siding on both sides of our road. When I contacted them, I was cussed out and told to clean it up myself. I will be contacting Berkeley County code enforcement and the EPA in the am. All they had to do was respond in a professional way. That seemed WAAAAAY beyond what they could do. I'd never recommend Chavis.

Chavis took my money and tore my house up in the process, he is a cook and Berkeley county government issues him permits cause he has a friend there so he can get whatever permits he wants. I even went to labor, licensing and regulations board, the manufacturing housing board asked the case be dismissed. And it was. He has friends. There too. Call Mr Ravenel or anybody else. Jimmy Chavis will steal, rip, or destroy your home. Read the Google reviews, he has hundreds of reviews. None good.

Sold a double wide and the buyer had bad luck with a few other moving companies. It had been sitting on our property to long and it held up our business from opening while sitting there. So I finally started making some calls for him and called Mr. Chavis one afternoon and he was very responsive and told me he could be on it that week. Then I called the buyer to tell him to give Chavis a call he did. They met that afternoon and it all goes well after that. They may not be the cheapest company but you do get the service you pay for top quality employees and equipment. As the seller I found Chavis Transport and I may be a difficult person to deal with as Mr Chavis came to find out but I was very pleased with the services performed and would recommend this company to anyone

Mr.Chavis moved my mobile home a few weeks ago. I went through 3 local mobile home movers. Every single one of them knew we were urgently needing to be moved, due to land being sold. They all gave me the run around and would'nt answer phone calls etc. Or wanted to charge me a ridiculous amount of money to be moved 8 miles. I called Mr.Chavis and he showed up the next day to look at my home. Mr.Chavis came back 2 days later and moved my home and did EVERYTHING he said he was going to do. We are thankful for Mr.Chavis and his crew of guys.

Please do not use him for any services!! He is a thief and a crook. He moved a mobile home WITHOUT pulling permits which is entirely illegal, and did it on a Friday afternoon to avoid getting caught. He ran over and busted the water line on the property and left exposed live wires hanging from the power pole. He then cussed me out when I called him to ask to come fix it. Not to mention he left the property a wreck. Like other reviews says he has multiple lawsuits pending and needs to be blacklisted from the industry. Honestly do not understand how Moncks Corner or Summerville don't have him arrested.

Mr chavis never got permits for the trailor he moved for me. He broke the waterline on the property he moved the trailor from. I had to go fix that and pick up the debris out the peoples property. He cut the power wire from the ground so I have to buy more. He left porches there that were supposed to be moved. He didn't bring the tie downs, blocks ,wedges, etc. I had to pay 500 dollars for material to set up my trailor. He didn't offer to pay for the material with was in the contract. Mr chavis wouldn't be at the job on the days he said he would be there. The list goes on and on. He's a con artist!
