We visit this Dollar General very frequently as it is close to our home, the workers are always very kind & helpful. The store is well stocked & typically has what I need. They have a great variety of frozen stuff - I also love all their home decor and seasonal items!

There told me they closed in 10 minutes. I guess from
Reading the reviews a lot of people complain about the same thing. I felt like I was being rushed. Won’t be going to this location anymore .

Lacking customer service. Very rude old white man, smoking outside before letting customers in store, doesn’t greet customers, acts like he hates life and hates being here. VERY RUDE. Newsflash, you don’t have to work at DG if you hate it. Just fire him already, seems I’m not the only one that’s had this experience.

I visit this establishment when my wife requests that I purchase sugar on my way home. Unfortunately, this store consistently lacks the product in question. When I inquire about the possibility of checking the back for availability, the staff demonstrates a disproportionately negative reaction.

Older white guy very rude. Either outside smoking or mad when you ask for help. If he doesn’t like his job find another one.

None of the employees ever want to actually work as a cashier. There was one person ahead of me using the self checkout…I stood at the cash register waiting for someone to check me out but the lady stayed in the back room, even though she looked straight at me.This happens every time I go here. It’s sad. What happened to customer service? It doesn’t exist here.

The store coupons dont work and the employees dont know how to make them work. Waited 10 minutes at the check out for any employee to help and he didnt know how but he tried. It didnt work so he had to walked away and help someone else. Seemed to be the only employee in the store on a Saturday. I dont blame him, I blame the store management. This is a brand new store shouldnt be this bad already.

Erratic operating hours. Empty shelves and rude employees.

I guess they just make up their own operating times that change depending on when their employees decide to get to work. The sign on their door and Google shows their times as 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. I guess they decided not to open on time today, 01/29/23, because the place was still closed at 9 a.m.

They close at 10 but the lady opened the door and said they are closing at 8 and then slammed the door in my husbands face. It’s currently 7:35. We sat in the parking lot and watched about 7 or 8 cars pull up and walk to the door. Huge loss of business for them.

I have mixed feelings about this place. Last I was there I used self checkout. The young chunky dark brown haired girl working at the register wasn't busy and had no customers so I asked if there was a quick way to ring up a thing of waters that they had at the door so I didn't have to carry them all the way back. So she input something and it rang up. I got finished and paid with food stamps and it said I still owed 7.72 or close to that and I called her back and asked her why it was saying that. She instantly snapped, "the water." As she rolled her eyes. I said "I had enough to cover the water, and food stamps does cover water." She just stood there with a blank look on her face. So I said, "I guess I'll have to go get 5he water anyway and ring it up like that instead." And with clear attitude she responded real short, " so you want me to take this off then?" I said yeah and went and got the water and it worked fine like that but it still said I owed 1.07. well I forgot the self checkout didn't accept cash when I thru in that last little thing at the end, and hated it but had to call the girl back over and confess my mistake. She was absolutely unprofessional in her reaction, throwing her hands up and making some attitude noise with her mouth. The called for the manager over the loud speaker with clear aggravation. I was told I'd have to void it all and go to the reg cash register and re ring it all back up. Desperate I tried the only two cards in my wallet but both were empty. Defeated, I finally said, "ok. I guess I'll have to re ring it all back up then." What the nice lady manager did next was completely unexpected, absolutely appreciated and made up for the young ball of attitude that originally called her to me. She said, "you know what, it's only a dollar. I'll cover it for you." I tried multiple times to give her the 1.07 I had in cash but she refused it and said don't worry about it . See, those are two totally different kinds of people there and the young lady should be schooled on how to treat customers. If it wasn't for the ride girl, I would have given the place 5 stars.

Brand new and clean, but still can’t keep the shelves stocked. Unfortunate.

I stopped by this new Dollar General location that's located on Pisgah Church Rd in Lexington, SC. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This store was very clean and maintained to the highest standard of cleanness.
