Big Lots is one of my main shopping stores. I can find just about everything there, from food to household items, car needs, personal items, garden items. I love this store. Friends and family weekend is the best with an extra 20% off.

Store always feels dirty. The discounts aren't always discounts and sometimes you pay more for things than you would if you just went into a normal store. The furniture is eh, Hit or Miss. But that's what you get from a discount store. It's worth it to get things like washcloths or clearance towels or bedding from here. Some of the food is overpriced so it's not really worth it to do grocery shopping.

On May 20, 2024, at approximately 12:00 pm, while completing my transaction, the Cashier named Theo paged the manager several times to assist a patron. Eventually, the manager arrived yelling, "I'm here! I'm here! Is the radio not working?" Then she threw her radio in the direction of other patrons. Theo politely replied that the radio was not working and proceeded to calmly and politely explain the situation. The manager disrespectfully asked if Theo had followed the proper procedure "like [she] told [him] to". The manager proceeded to throw items around on the counter and belittle Theo, who remained calm, polite and pleasant toward the manager and patrons. The manager's behavior was so diabolical, I was tempted to summon an EXORCIST! Theo's response was nothing short of admirable! He should be lauded for maintaining self-control under such demeaning circumstances. Kudos to you, Theo!

Called to inquire about a sofa (broyhill Tripoli) and they hung up the phone on me, not once but twice. I was going to purchase the sofa today. Now I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Warning ⚠️
I got off work late and decided to go look at furniture before the store close. We got there an hour before closing on a Wednesday. No one else was there but some folks checking out when we walked in. They don’t greet you, some woman with a store shirt/vest walked right by, but they will find time to have some random man follow you around the store! The location is already sketchy at night, top that off with a random worker following you around it makes for the best shopping experience. I don’t expect much from Big Lots no way plus the customer service never been good. I am surprised the store still get business tbh. I guess I should have asked the guy that was following us about the furniture I was going to buy since we almost bumped into each other cause that’s how close he was. Glad I took my $$ elsewhere. The cashier guy was nice I will give credit where it’s due.
