I’ve lived here for a while. (Over 2 years) so glad my lease is up soon. I used to really like living here. Not any more. Parking garage gate now makes an EXTREMELY loud metal scraping sound that wakes me up every time the gates open and shut. I have to wear earplugs and use a noise machine just to block it out, it’s also impossible to ignore it during the day so white noise is required. No peace. I was told “there’s nothing we can do” . I’ve had recurring AC issues that are NOT addressed in a timely manner. The issue happened twice and was fixed both times, but the second round it took me three requests and follow ups over the course of weeks for it to be resolved finally. Old maintenance staff handled it immediately the first time. Please visit the parking area and listen to the gate before you move near it.Disappointing as I was initially ok with living here for the obvious positive reasons written in other reviews. Asking $2200 a month for a tiny one bedroom, this is not acceptable.

Amazing apartment concept. Great quality of appliances, clean, cozy, modern. The best place ever. Extremely ice and friendly staff, always willing to help and support. Peaceful and quiet place. Pool and gym are exceptional

This is one of the best places to live in Charleston if you have kids or pets. The area is very safe and this is the most pet-friendly complex I've lived in. It's very easy to commute to Mount Pleasant, North Charleston and West Ashley, and I can keep my car in the on-site garage instead of having it exposed.

I couldn't be happier living here. A great location, walking distance to so many things. Everyone has been incredibly nice, the complex itself has everything and is very well maintained. It's a very dog friendly community and there are plenty of things to do with dogs in the neighborhood.

I have lived here for a year now and it has been such a great experience. The location is amazing & so walkable. I love using the bikes in the lobby to ride to the waterfront area and ride the trails at the water. Beautiful scenery and beautiful interiors. My dogs love walking around the ponds nearby and love the spacious dog park and pet spa. There’s also a concert arena right across from here that you can walk to and they have amazing events year round! Did I mention a Starbucks within walking distance? What more could you ask for?! Totally worth the price!

CIS is a wonderful place to live! With its close proximity to shops, restaurants and especially the Credit One stadium with the many events such as concerts and tennis! They also offer many other amenities such as weekly yoga and a monthly book group …a great way to socialize!

I love living at Central Island Square. It is a beautiful facility and is always maintained well. This neighborhood is safe and always clean. There are great dining options here and we are 15 minutes from downtown Charleston.

I used to live here back in 2019 - moved just in time to experience a hurricane & Covid :)Loved living at CIS although I believe there is completely new management now so I can't speak on what they're like. I liked the community, all of the apartment events, as well as the surrounding city/town in general. We moved out west and keep dreaming about returning to DI.I also happened to live in the complex around the same time that the outer banks cast - they were my neighbors for the duration of season 1 filming. DI makes for a great place to live for the younger crowd (if they can afford it) because of the walkability & the plethora of things to do on the island.

I relocated to the area back in June ‘21. The overall process of “moving in” was seamless and the on-site management group, specifically Angel Alexander, were very helpful. On one occasion the management group went well beyond the norm and assisted me with a emergency. The location and all of the amenities are hard to beat.
