Tonight, I experienced what is undeniably the worst interaction I’ve ever had at a Walgreens pharmacy. After my husband underwent extensive dental implant surgery, I went into the pharmacy (not the drive-thru) to drop off two prescriptions—one for pain relief and the other for antibiotics. Given the situation, I wanted to ensure these medications were filled promptly.
However, the staff member who attended to me was shockingly rude and dismissive. When I politely asked if I could wait for the prescriptions, she brushed me off with a cold, "We will send him a text." I tried to explain the urgency due to my husband’s condition, but once again, I was met with the same disinterested response: "We will send him a text when it’s ready." No empathy, no effort to understand the situation—just robotic indifference.
Over the past year, I’ve noticed a significant decline in service at this location. It’s gotten so bad that we stopped using Walgreens altogether and switched to Publix, even though it’s farther away. The extra drive is worth it, as Publix treats you like a valued customer and, more importantly, like a human being—not an annoyance.
I only came to Walgreens this time out of necessity, as my husband needed immediate pain relief. But as of this moment, we’re still waiting for the promised text. You’d think with the rising cost of prescriptions, Walgreens could at least afford to employ staff who have basic customer service skills and a semblance of empathy.
I’ll never make the mistake of relying on Walgreens again. This level of service is unacceptable.

Absolutely terrible called over ten times about a prescription always hung up tried to change to another pharmacy hung up on them as well. I have used Walgreens forever but this one is horrible worst pharmacy in Columbia.

Terrible I was on hold for 7 minutes then the girl came on the phone and thanked me for calling then placed me on hold without seeing if what I needed could be handled in a timely manner, then the phone hung up cause no one came back to the phone. I was on hold for a total of 13 minutes unacceptable to just to ask a question!
