This place is definitely a money grab. I bought my pet here just to be told to take my pet somewhere else after receiving a bill that was more than unreasonable to be told to go somewhere else. The vet had a cocky persona! The best part about this place is the sweet receptionist in the front. She was extremely kind!

Professional, accommodating, and friendly staff. Many of my fur babies over the years have been patients' of this office, and honestly, I feel they (my animals )are in excellent hands with Dr. Megan and her wonderful staff.

I have been taking my dogs to SVAH for about 30 years. I was worried when Dr. Alexander announced his retirement because he was so knowledgeable, had amazing credentials, and studied veterinary medicine at an Ivy League school. I have owned a pet sitting business for 20 years, and I always recommended him to clients new to Columbia. I took my girl in to be seen shortly after Dr. Megan took the reins. My very first thought when she walked in the exam room was, "Wow, she's really young! Very possibly younger than me." That thought dissipated immediately because I knew I was in the presence of a brilliant vet as soon as she spoke. Not only is Dr. Megan incredibly kind (to the animals and their humans!), but she's funny, never hasty, and most importantly, super knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions you have. Plus, I mean, how cool is it that she wants to be called Dr. Megan? That alone breaks the ice and instantly makes her relatable. Also, I took a picture of my GoGo looking terrified on the exam table, and Dr. Megan was more than happy to pose with GoGo for her post-exam happy shot! I told Dr. M that I wouldn't post it on social media, but I think it needs to accompany this review. ?
One other thing - the techs and office staff are so great! Melinda and Sue at the front desk have been with SVAH for years. They are always such a pleasure to talk to, and they're very attentive and knowledge. If you look beside the desk, you'll often see the sweetest dogs. The techs Spencer, Xander, and Ariana are simply amazing. Highly recommend this clinic - the best in South Carolina, bar none!

Dr. Megan and her staff are the best! Dr. Megan has ALWAYS given a correct diagnosis for my dog. She is experienced, smart and caring. She is the only vet that my anxious dog has ever liked! SVAH is the BEST!!!

I took my little headache ?here because her toe was swollen and hurting her . They check her sent her home with antibiotic . I love how they let you know what your baby need at the time and what’s best for them .. i also love how the next day after her appointment they called and checked on her , that bought tears to my eyes. ? the staff there is amazing ! . Download the app to communicate with the doctors as well , This hospital for my baby was the BEST DECISION ! I LOVE SPRING VALLEY ANIMAL HOSPITAL ! ????

Dr.Megan and her staff are wonderful!!! They have a great deal of patience and kindness. My first visit was a sick visit Ms.Sue got us in right away on a Saturday. Dallas was very comforting and professional.Thank you for saving my baby!

I cannot say enough kind things about this place. My sweet girl LOVES Dr. Gardner, and so do I! My sweet girl can be a little spicy, but they love her just the same. Every single staff member is so kind, and SO helpful! I ask a lot of questions, but they never tire of them (lol). 10/10!

All of the staff and Dr. Megan are absolutely wonderful. My husband and I had to make a tough decision in regards to our precious kitty. They could have not been more kind, patient, compassionate, and understanding. I appreciate the honesty that we received as well for our situation. I personally want to thank Sue at the front desk for getting us in ASAP and again to the team for making a horrible day so much easier. Thank you.
