Only one to two cashiers were open, there were extremely long lines, and abandoned carts full of cold foods that people left in the middle of the aisles due to the lack of service being offered. The customer service “lady” named Kennedy was loudly and rudely complaining about her job and didn’t want to check anyone out at customer service even if they only had one item. Stating “that’s too many items, and you aren’t getting anything from customer service”. I felt dismissed and very hurt by the rude encounter that Kennedy gave to me. If she is working customer service she should be friendlier and have a nicer attitude because she chose to apply here and it’s the only grocery store on the same street as my home, so I have nowhere else to shop and I shouldn’t be reprimanded just because I wanted to purchase something.

Sad that Columbia has interchangeable standards from one location to another. We could really use an updated grocery store in this area while the upgrade is taking place in the city. There should be more options for lifelong residents who haven't relocated due to subpar standards or conditions. I speak as an influential leader of the people and a lifelong resident, and to realize the place where you live or lived has no value to the public until it is torn down and "Revitalize".

At night or evening, only two registers, line so long that there are some people stealing. This is the only food lion that has the worst rating.

This is a very well stocked grocery store that is close to the Columbia College area. This food line is clean, has good fruits and vegetables. I can pretty much get everything I need here. I like that it is close, clean and well stocked. Also, the staff are nice and efficient and you can usually find someone quickly if you have a question or need to find something.

The Food Lion That Time Forgot: No self-checkout lanes. Otherwise it's like a lot of South Carolina Food Lions: lots of customers, not a lot of cashiers.
