I’ll start by saying in 2021 I purchased my a new 450 coupe and the experience was good. No complaints. Since then I’ve used the service and found that group to be terrific.
However my car was hit recently and so I decided to trade it in. I wanted another Mercedes and naturally went back to Baker and was shocked at just how bad the experience was. My dissatisfaction wasn’t in regards to price or the typical things that come into play.
I will simply say they made a bad situation worse because they simply didn’t care. They were a combination of ineptness
and ambivalence and couldn’t even communicate with their own collision center. After a week of trying to buy a new AMG 53, and trying to wholesale my car, they had it disassembled for the estimate and then walked away sticking me with the bill of $1700.
Then I went to Myrtle Beach and got a much better car at a much better price in less that 24hrs.
I love Mercedes but absolutely will never go back to that sales group. I’ve always believed that when someone shows you who they are, you should believe them. -10 stars from me and you should avoid.

I went to the dealership in search of a new/used GLC300. My initial experience with 'Beau' was excellent, which convinced me that I would do business with them. Unfortunately, on a subsequent visit to check out their used inventory and potentially finalize a purchase, we were assisted by 'Rick'. His demeanor was notably rude and condescending; he dismissed our trim choice as 'silly' and insisted that the car we wanted 'doesn't exist.'
It was shortly after their closing time, so perhaps Rick was in a rush or something. Regardless of the reason, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I recently bought a new 2024 Mercedes E350 sedan from Baker Motors and love it but the new technology on it for a 79 year old grandmother was overwhelming! I must have stopped at the dealership a half dozen times with questions during the first 6 weeks and a young man named Bo was always available to help me. He was patient and explained everything on the car in a way that I could understand it. Baker Motors is fortunate to have an employee like Bo working for them!

This was my first time purchasing a vehicle from out of state (I am in Chicago) and they made the process simple. Really disappointed in my experience with Baker Motor Company of Charleston at the Savannah Hwy location. Specifically Lauren Erickson and Valerie Coin. I have spent thousands on repairs for my Gl450 at this location and was completely blown off during this encounter. I was not given any time of day after letting them know I wasn’t going to move forward with repairs but was interesting in trading the car in and purchasing another. Communication was horrible and was not treated like I mattered. Left voicemails for Valerie after going multiple days without a car, rental or loaner. Ended up buying a Mazada and had a great experience at the mazda dealer where they wanted my business and treated me like they did. Will not do business with Baker Motor in the future.

Very poor dealership. Was told to drive over an hour and a half away for service but when I arrived nobody knew what I was talking about. When I asked for help from a manager I waited but nobody came. They respond to certain complaints on Google Reviews, and some they don't. I guess some customer's complaints are important and some are not.

I was in the Charleston area and had some trouble with my 2018 S560. Baker Auto was super helpful and treated me so well despite being an out of towner who didn’t buy his vehicle there. Really impressed and kudos to SA Brandon and loaner rep Bryce who were both the epitome of Southern hospitality.

Stay away from this dealer. Bought a vehicle and paid for it. I Was flying to pick it up and was told they sold it. Bad bad bad dealer. They are not worth 1 star.
