I had a positive buying experience at HHI BMW and will definitely return in the future. After purchasing my new-to-me BMW, I encountered some mechanical issues shortly after. However, the team at HHI BMW quickly resolved the problems within a few days at no cost to me. Although I regularly visit their service team for my other vehicles, I’m pleased with the prompt and professional response from the used car team.

I had high hopes when purchasing my vehicle, but my experience has been frustrating due to dishonesty. The salesperson claimed the tires were brand new and had been replaced by them. However, the Carfax report shows the last tire change was in 2022, well before they acquired the car. They also misrepresented the ownership history, stating there was only one previous owner when there were actually two.
Additionally, they failed to provide a wheel lock key, leaving me unable to replace the worn tires after only 10,000 miles. My car hasn’t had an alignment in years, which is concerning.
To make matters worse, the registration process was a nightmare. They submitted my paperwork incorrectly, causing significant delays that nearly resulted in penalties for me. Overall, I found the lack of transparency and professionalism unacceptable. I would not recommend purchasing a car from this dealership.

Brad and the rest of the team are fantastic. In fact, I drive to Hilton Head, bypassing BMW Savannah, due to their unparalleled standard of customer service.
They’re punctual, professional, and accommodating in all aspects of their operation; uncommon in today’s auto maintenance “landscape”.

Stephanie is a trusted advisor and salesperson and with support from Steve Molthop, GM and the finance team, they are a team that wants the best for their customers AND their business. I’ve bought 6 cars from them over the years. I just can’t go anywhere else when I’m ready for a remarkable driving and purchasing experience.

Bought a Porsche Panamera and had it delivered to Illinois only to discover that the vehicle is damaged in few places- nothing was disclosed of course during the remote buying process nor were the damages mentioned in a Carfax report. When I asked directly if this is a common practice at this dealership, salesperson chose to ignore my question and provide zero follow up.

The level of customer service when they are trying to make a sale far exceeds the customer service after the sale.
We purchased a car in February 2024 and was only able to drive it for 5 months before it gave out. It has been broken down since July 2024. Be mindful that we only used this car to commute a short drive (15 - 20 miles) to and from work.
After receiving a drive train error code, we took the vehicle for inspection to BMW of Columbia on July 29, 2024 who told us that it could be a possible timing chain issue and instructed us to call the original sales location as we shouldn't be experiencing this type of issue this soon.
We reached out to the Ronnie, our salesman at Hilton Head BMW who informed us that he was no longer employed there and instructed us to reach out to the sales manager. We called the office and was directed to Mr. B. Shirley who asked us to bring the car down to Hilton Head from Columbia.
On August 16, 2024, we contacted Mr. Shirley again and asked if we could send the diagnostic report first because we hated to have the vehicle towed down if they weren't going to be able to work with us. Mr. Shirley originally seemed very helpful. He told us that while they weren't fully responsible for the vehicle's current state, that they would work with us on getting the issued repaired because our experience was "not reflective of the BMW Brand". He asked us to send him a copy of the diagnostic report that we received from the Columbia shop and we sent that immediately after the call.
I was a car accident in November 2022 in which I total loss my car. I was very fearful of purchasing another car because I wanted to ensure that I was making a smart choice and I expressed to the sales team that day that my my biggest goal was to purchase a reliable car. I was assured that I could trust this car and the team.
We have not heard anything from Mr. Shirley nor Hilton Head BMW since that day. I know that BMW says that it values trust, teamwork, and commitment but that has been far from my experience.

Review of Hilton Head BMW
My experience with Hilton Head BMW was generally positive. I purchased a BMW X2 remotely from Hilton Head BMW in Bluffton, SC, while I was physically located in Dallas, Texas. Buying a car remotely was a challenging decision since I couldn't see or test drive the vehicle in person, but overall, the process went well. The Client Advisor was very helpful throughout. I have rated my experience 3 stars because of the following but this is not difficult to improve:
1. According to the car’s sticker/MSRP, it was supposed to include the 423 Floor Mats and ZD9 Black All-Weather Floor Mats. However, I did not receive the 423 Floor Mats, which now cost $200 if purchased separately from BMW.
2. There was a loose trim on the front passenger seat—a minor issue, but unexpected from a Certified car.
3. For one month, I'm still waiting for my original title and number plates. No updates.
