The summary of this review…. Use ANYBODY but Safelite in Anderson SC. Terrible communication, disorganized, had to install the one piece I did get from them not once; but twice because first install was not a good piece of glass and they left thinking we were going to be ok with brand new glass being chipped. Wish I would have read reviews before I called Safelite. I just went with who Progressive said to use. I will not make that mistake again.
More detailed review: I needed both back quarter panels that were tinted of my vehicle replaced. First, one piece of glass was on back order and they wanted to reschedule so they could install both pieces at once, putting me off a month from when I called. The quarter panel they did have was the one that was shattered on our vehicle and we had been riding around for 2 weeks already with shattered quarter panel. I did ask them to come install what they had. They turned one insurance claim into 2 to accommodate this request. That was wrong. They come install what they have and installed a chipped piece of glass. So now I have 2 insurance claims instead of 1 and a warranty claim. The day they came to do the warranty work they should have also brought the other piece of glass that was previously back ordered but didn’t. I had appointment for both to be installed that day. So I had to set a THIRD appointment. They came back to install second piece of glass but it wasn’t tinted so we told the installer not to install it as we thought they had ordered wrong part as they had just installed not one but 2 pieces of tinted glass for the other panel. I thought they would call when they got the glass but they never did. I finally went to office in person on July 12 (incident happened May 17) and wanted to schedule the appointment to install the glass, even if untinted, explaining I would go get it tinted later if they couldn’t get the correct glass. The lady was nice, said she understood, scheduled the appointment for July 26. They never showed July 26 and when I went back to the office in person that afternoon to ask why no show they said they deleted appointment on their end bc we had sent them away the first time. But they never called us and told us that. And I thought the point of July 12 visit was to get all that straight. Very rude man on July 26 visit, terrible communication, the piece they did install had to be installed twice before it was right. Use ANYBODY but Safelite in Anderson SC. It was a horrible experience. Yes I know I wasn’t the standard windshield install but obviously they can’t handle those cases. After all this; I would never trust them with the simplest of jobs!!

My review mirror detached from my windshield. They reinstalled it, without an appointment, in about an hour. Great job.

Unbelievable customer service. Easy scheduling online and great location since I was able to wait right next-door and have a coffee at waffle House. Lol everyone at Safelite was super kind and my windshield looked fantastic once it was replaced.

Scheduled appointment took off work mobile tech Mathew never showed up called or contacted me . Changed my priced after I got total at online checkout . Finally got another date lined up the guy calls from the store saying they don’t do mobile install on my type of car .basically the day of install .

This location needs to empower their Tech's w/ the correct info for their billing/payment processing especially refunding when no work is completed. I was told they would not process my pre-paid payment due to work not done on 5/2 per the tech, this has turned into them processing the payment which posted to my acct the next day 5/3. 5 associates later and all the manager Michael can tell me is to call my bank. 72+hrs and they still have not returned my money and are adamant there's nothing they can do. What a joke - your tech blatantly lied and what they have done is theft. Even called my bank, they do NOT show any refund in-process, so yeah, they're thieves and liars!

This place is a joke! 2 times getting pushed out for appointments, and already took the money and having to wait 7 days for refund! Will NEVER use Safelite.

Well, easy enough. Went to the website filled it out, paid and next day, Matthew replaced in less than an hour. He was professional, on time, and I was kept in contact with from beginning to end. Great job!

I would not recommend this location. There is a lack of communication and organization and when asked to confirm and clarify information, the manager and staff blames the consumer to the extent that they will make fun of you.

I went to this location on 2/28/24...It was the first time that I had been there and I must say, the experience was great.The only issue that I have is that the small crack on my windshield is still visible even after repair. I was told that it is still visible... I believe that they fixed the problem, but I think I will be going back to this location in the near future to get a new windshield installed because being able to see that crack everyday, even after being repaired is going to drive me insane.

Had a bad water leak in Silverado windshield. However, Safelite required that they install their new windshield rather than a reseal. With their quick service, it was worth it. Heavy rain last night, and floor mats were dry in the morning. Very friendly folks.
