However, I went in this week, found everything on my list, was pleasantly surprised by the peaceful atmosphere ( no screaming babies or kids throwing temper tantrums like Walmart) store was clean, lady that works there is always friendly and makes me feel like a valued customer. She may be the manager, I am not sure, but she has been there awhile. She is always pleasant and friendly. was hard at work when I went in but took time to greet in a friendly manner.”

Gotta make it by 8pm or you can't use ur Ingles advantage card when paying with cash! I wish Ingles would add a cash option as a payment to their pumps like Spinx offers for the ones who pay only using cash and needing to use their Ingles card for gas pts.”

“I got my General Tso's Chicken and Macaroni and Cheese and Blackberry Cobbler and 32 ounce drink saw people sitting at tables inside eating their lunch, asked an employee "Aren't there tables and chairs outside in the sunshine?", to which she said yes; then went outside and sat in the sunshine and had my lunch like at an Italian sidewalk bistro (or whatever it's called, sidewalk cafe maybe) and ate every bite except for two or three pieces of the chicken. The Blackberry Cobbler was just what I needed for dessert. I coulda got two helpings of Blackberry Cobbler and been happy with that. The drink machine was out of order, so I got blueberry and mountain dew icee/slushee mixed frozen drink instead, which was very refreshing. I think I drank all of it, 32 ounces by 3 p.m. Decent. I wish I had someone to share these quality experiences with.”

“DId somebody say chicken? I have been shopping at this Ingles for years now and I have watched as they have evolved into a grocery powerhouse. They have better produce than ever before and they now carry more organic items than just about anybody in the area. And, to top it all off, they have just completed a massive upgrade to bring in Starbucks, a pharmacy and an Oriental fast food counter next to the regular deli. I have to mention the original deli, though, because it is so good and so affordable. For around $5 you can get a meat and 3 sides and the food is good. I recommend the fried chicken...I love fried chicken. Go early for lunch, though, because after that the food sits up and gets old and crusty under the heat lamps. I wouldn't try to make a supper out of it. The store is always clean and bright and it has been my experience that I can find some things at Ingles that I cannot find at other stores...like Earth Balance spread, for example. There are others, but none come to mind at the moment. Another benefit to shopping here is the meat market. When you get a whole chicken at most stores, no one is there to cut it up for you. But Ingles has a meat department and they will cut up a chicken (for example) into individual pieces for you at no charge. This is much cheaper than buying a chicken already cut up into pieces. (bet you didn't know that...haha) Ingles is competitive in terms of pricing. They are not as cheap as Walmart's neighborhood market, but they do compete with Publix and Bi-Lo and Food Lion. I continue to be a fan of this Ingles and will continue to support it, as long as they continue to cut up my chicken for free. : ) (I really don't eat that much chicken)”
“We just transferred all our prescriptions from Walgreens to Ingles off Highway 24 and Whitehall yesterday. The pharmacist is outstanding. He acknowledged me when I walked up to counter and knew exactly who I was and what all my prescriptions were. I noticed when the clerk had anyone waiting the pharmacist jumped right in to assist. You are lucky to have this gentleman and I will certainly let him know. I appreciate great service!”
“The employees are always very courteous & helpful, when they can be, with no fault of their own. No matter how many days or times I go to this store there is NEVER more than 2 working. It normally takes 2 just to run the registers explaining why there is stock stacked in boxes unshelved, isles & shelving messy and empty.”

“Definitely a good store with a good manager, but customers on the other hand are a different story! The place looks a bit over crowded with stock that needs to be put on the shelves, and they try but I’ve watched the store go from all put together to trashed in a days time. So that’s why I don’t deduct stars it’s not the employees faults.”
