“Mello's Farm and Flower Center should be a part of your Rhode Island tourist trip, if solely because you'll want to explore all that the island, and this little state, have to offer.
There are a variety of ways that Mello's plays a role in strengthening Rhode Island as an agricultural center. The first is in its landscaping and farming products. You can get many different plants and planting products here. The Center looks to be in the middle of a bunch of planting fields, too.
There are also the various pieces of a patio that you can get at this place. Ranging from furniture to pots, Mello's sense of aesthetic is heavily represented in the physical products that are sold here.
But the thing that I went to Mello's for was the produce. Rhode Island has an ambitious food security goal in that it wants to source half of the state's food from within the state by (I believe) the year 2050. That's an ambitious goal, but we are all beginning to understand that fresher, local foods are better for our bodies and minds. So to Mello's I went, and was not disappointed in the variety of local Rhode Island produced foods, though it seemed that only half of the produce that was available was visibly marketed as "locally grown." This makes sense, because the Center seemed to be more of a market rather than a farm stand.
However, the yellow squash, zucchini, green beans, and sweet potatoes I bought were all locally grown and something I have a serious interest in. I checked out a few other items that were sold in the coolers and have decided that I need to come here again to improve my knowledge of all these wonderful Rhode Island foodie goodies.
The East Bay and Aquidneck Island are in the middle of a serious food movement. There are a lot of small, caring farmers and food producers in the area. If you are interested in making a day of it, I recommend checking out Hope and Main in Warren, then going over the Mount Hope Bridge to Portsmouth to Mello's. You won't be disappointed, but you will be satiated.”

“I went to Jordans jungle for the first time 4 years ago- and was instantly in love. At the Jungle you get a unique experience. The environment is jaw dropping- the parrot is awesome- and the employees are knowledgeable and friendly. You can tell just by looking at the store how much love they put into it. 10/10!”
“Great store. This location is super clean, brightly lit, and always has the specific mechanics tool I need in a pinch. Today was ball-end, extended Allen head bits for 3/8ths. And I bought $120 worth of more stuff i needed, at the same time.... Shop step stool, metric ratcheting wrenches, hitch equipment for my zero turn to pull a leaf rake; you name it.”
“The best farm around! The flowers and vegetable plants are very well taken care of! Prices are very reasonable. Always a pleasure to go to Araujos, Darlene and staff are super helpful ?”

“I truly love this place! Even more now with the beautiful work Matt did. I had a dead pine bush that was so very deep. He worked so hard to get it out and cut out the big roots. I was so impressed. It was hot and he wasn’t even complaining. After he got it out I had purchased a beautiful blue prince holly tree to put in it’s spot. This tree was being planted in my Dad’s memory so it was very meaningful to me. He carefully planted the tree and took his time to do all the proper steps with soil and nutrients ands mulch. Matt made sure the tree was straight and evenly placed. I truly felt that he does his job from his heart and loves what he does. I am very pleased with mats work and I am so very grateful as the tree had meaning to me. He cleaned up everything Even when I told him not to. I can’t thank Matt enough for his hard work and beautiful placement of this tree! When he left, I immediately called the store to speak to the owner just to tell him how pleased I was but also wanted to leave this review. If you want a job done that comes from the heart and not just because that’s where the tree or plant goes then ask for Matt! You will be glad you did. Thanks again?”
“My go to place for all that is Koi ponds. After I made a mistake during changing the water in my koi pond they straightened me out so that will never happen again. Always good advice and the best supplies.”

A young man by the name of Devon went out of his way to ask me if he could help me find anything. He knew exactly where the part I needed was without looking at his phone, while helping me an older gentleman also needed so assistance politelty explained he would be with him in just a moment. Well mannered and very helpful! There's another associate here by the name of jeremy blood, he helped me some months ago with my flooring. I'm a contractor, I've been to every homedepot in bristol county and this is by far my favorite location.”

Although the vanity didn’t seem to be anywhere, he didn’t give up. He found the vanity way up on a pallet, immediately he had someone come and get it down . We had some more shopping to do. He told us to come back when we were done and sure enough there was the vanity and him waiting for us already on the hand truck. We were so impressed with him. Wish all employees were like that. He is a one of a kind!”
