“Ray was very helpful and patient while I tried on several pairs of shoes! It’s great to have someone take the time to understand what your running needs/goals are. I appreciate how he was able to watch my walk/jog and address any concerns he saw to help prevent injury and focus on a shoe that would work best for me.”

“Vans is such a fun store, it has very colorful clothing, sneakers and skateboards for those who are shopping for them. The staff is very friendly and they approach you with information on the latest sale specials. In 1982, Sean Penn wore a pair of checkerboard slip-ons in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, which made the brand popular in the US. Now, it's almost a cult following....many people will not wear anything on their feet but Vans. Vans is a manufacturer of skateboarding shoes and related apparel, established in Anaheim, California, and owned by VF Corporation. The company also sponsors surf, snowboarding, BMX, and motocross teams. From 1996 to 2019, the company had been the primary sponsor of the annual Vans Warped Tour traveling rock festival. It all started in 1966 when brothers Paul Van Doren and Jim Van Doren along with partners Gordon Lee and Serge Delia open for business at 704 E. Broadway in Anaheim, Calif. on March 16. The Van Doren Rubber Company was unique in that it manufactured shoes on premises and sold them directly to the public. On that first morning, 12 customers purchased shoes, which were made that day and ready for pick-up in the afternoon. Cool concept....now, of course they are mass produced, but with the same level of quality and workmanship.”

“The ladies at Carrara's really know shoes and sizing. I went in there and told them that I was a size 10. I walked out with a size 9 and it fit perfect. They also had a very hard-to-find pair of Danskos in my size and color.”

“Andrew M provided one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever experienced in my entire life. I would like him to be recognized. EXTREMELY knowledgeable about all coats in store and even more importantly, willing to take the time and patience required to explain everything about the the technology behind each coat in laymen’s terms for us to understand. He understood the differences between what a parent wants for their child in a coat vs what the child would want. Due to his customer service skills, I bought two coats instead of one at the perfect price. Thank you Andrew”

“Comfortable place with a large selection. There are many discounts and not only on Black Friday. It is recommended to register for the application, this way you get a lot of coupons without making any effort. They have a large space, but few service people. That's how they probably keep prices relatively low. But if you need help from someone, you can find people and they help very well.”

“As a first-time visitor to this shop, I was impressed with what the store had to offer. The clearance sale in select sections of the store added an element of excitement to the shopping, and I was pleased to find two gorgeous heels for my sister-in-law. The store's pricing was budget-friendly, and the variety of shoe options as well as sizes available was impressive. The employees were super sweet & welcoming as well as helpful. I loved their positivity and kindness towards the clientele. Overall, my experience at this shop was positive, and I would highly recommend it to others looking for quality shoes at reasonable prices.”

“I walked into this Garage store, mainly because my husband's niece used to work here and she was always saying good things about the store and the brand. I looked around for something for one of my nieces and I found a lot of really nice "young" fashion. The prices are a bit on the high side compared to other stores that cater to young females, but the look and the styles are definitely different and a bit more trendy. Garage primarily targets fashion for young women. Founded in 1975 as a subsidiary of Groupe Dynamite, Garage currently has locations in Canada and the United States. The first store opened in Quebec in 1975 and in 2007, they opened their first stores in the USA. Now many American malls have Garage clothing stores.”

“ALDO shoes were founded in Canada in 1972 as a footwear concession within the department store Le Chateau. The original group included stores in Montreal, Ottawa, Quebec City, and Winnipeg. Aldo Bensadoun known today as a global shoe giant built his empire starting in Montreal. The first freestanding ALDO store was opened in Montreal, in 1978. The brand expanded in the 1980s and 1990s, with stores operating under the name ALDO across Canada. The first store outside of North America opened in Israel in 1995. The brand expanded in the 2000s into Saudi Arabia in 2001, England in 2002, and Singapore in 2003. Since then, the ALDO Group, with the ALDO and Call It Spring/Spring banners, has further expanded on the international market. This particular store at the Providence Place mall is very neatly organized and it has good quality items for a nice fair price. Shoes, purses, accessories, all are well made and top quality. The staff is nice and friendly.”

“I was really happy to find a few things at Carter's. This is a major designer and marketer of children's apparel. It was founded in 1865 by William Carter. Their selection of baby, toddler and kids clothing is really good and I found some really awesome stuff at 40% and 50%...even some items were I bought 1 and got 2 FREE..... Some of their sales and promotions are really good !Carter's sells its products through its own Carter's and OshKosh B'gosh retail stores, its website, and in other retail outlets such as department stores. In the business world it is believed that Carter's account for around one-quarter of all sales both for the children's sleepwear market, and for clothes for the newborn to two-year-old age group.Carter's, Inc. markets clothing and other children's products under several brand names. Other than its namesake Carter's brand, OshKosh B'gosh, and Skip Hop, these labels are exclusive to specific retailers and include some like...Just One YouPrecious FirstsGenuine KidsChild of MineSimple Joys The logo for each exclusive brand notes that it is "made by Carter's," with the exception of Genuine Kids, which carries the label "from OshKosh." Genuine Kids has been sold since 2003, before OshKosh was acquired by Carters, Inc.”

“As Christmas is getting close, I was looking for some nice gifts for my nieces. I stopped at LOFT to check what they had. Very impressed with the way the store is laid out. Looks very well organized, nicely sectioned, well lit. They specialize in women's apparel brand and it's mainly known for its careerwear, dresses & separates in contemporary styles.I saw some blouses that looked really good, the quality of the fabric was really nice. The price is a bit on the high side, but I am glad I stopped here, so I now have a reference point as I keep shopping around.”

“I love getting good running and walking shoes, it's good for you feet and your overall health. I stop at Foot Locker frequently to check out their offerings and specials. The store is very well laid out, it feels very roomy and very easy to navigate. Foot Locker is a sportswear and footwear retailer, with its headquarters in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, and operating in 28 countries. A piece of trivia that many might not know......though established in 1974, and founded as a separate company in 1988, Foot Locker's roots date to 1879, as it is a successor corporation to the F. W. Woolworth Company ("Woolworth's"), as many of its freestanding stores were Kinney Shoes and Woolworth's locations. The company operates the eponymous "Foot Locker" chain of athletic footwear retail outlets (along with "Kids Foot Locker" and "Lady Foot Locker" stores), and other athletic-based divisions including Champs Sports, Footaction USA, House of Hoops, and Eastbay/Footlocker.com, which owns the rights to Final-Score. The company is also famous for its employees' uniforms at its flagship Foot Locker chain, resembling those of referees. They have a strong partnership with Nike, so if you are ever looking for a model or color that you can' find anywhere else for a Nike product, check Foot Locker out.....nearly 70% of its products are from Nike”

Tillys primarily sells clothing, shoes, and accessories for various active lifestyles including lounging, surfing, skateboarding, and snowboarding along with sports such as motorcross. Among the brands sold are Adidas, Billabong, DC Shoes, Element, Fox, Famous Stars and Straps, Elwood, Hurley, Nike SB, O'Neill, Quiksilver, RVCA, Vans, and Volcom, as well as an extensive selection of Levi's. They also sell store brands such as Blue Crown, RSQ, Micros, and West of Melrose. Tillys (originally known as World of Jeans and Tops and Tilly's) is an American retail clothing company that sells an assortment of branded apparel, accessories, shoes, and more. It is headquartered and operated from Irvine, California. Some of the history on the brand....Hezy Shaked, a former Israel Navy officer, and his wife, Tilly Levine, opened "World of Jeans and Tops" in Los Alamitos, California in 1982. Shaked later renamed the store "Tilly's" after his wife. The couple divorced in 1989, but Levine continued to work for the company as director of vendor relations. The company went public in 2012.”

“If you are looking for sports wear, this is one of the places to check out while at the Providence Place mall....every time I come in for a purchase or to browse, I find the sales staff a bit aloof, not the warmest customer service experience.. You can sign up to their specials and sales by email and you will get notified of the best deals. Sometimes you can get stuff more than 50% off. They sell a lot of Nike, Vans, Adidas, New Balance, ON, etc. You will find great looking sneakers, backpacks. shirts, shoes, sandals, and more... This last time, I got my niece a nice pair of shorts that will go great with her favorite workout top. Finish Line, Inc. is an American retail chain that sells athletic shoes and related apparel and accessories owned by Clayton Griffith. The company operates 660 stores in 47 states and Puerto Rico, mostly in shopping malls, as well as Finish Line-branded athletic shoe departments in more than 450 Macy's stores. On June 18, 2018, the company was acquired by multinational retailer JD Sports after the completion of its merger at a price of $13.50 per share in cash. Again, check out the specials, you will most likely find good deals on name brand stuff.”

“I’d never heard of this store until my 14 year old came home with a pair of $225 sneakers that she had no business buying. I immediately went back to the store with her and explained the situation (and her mental state which lead to this unreasonable purchase). The gentlemen in the store asked made me aware of the no return policy but due to the situation surrounding this purchase (no need to go into detail) they allowed the return. All of the store associates were very nice and understanding. I’d support them again.”

“I have seen these Rainbow stores in other parts of metro Providence and when I travel, I never really went into one until a few days ago....I was really surprised on how low the prices for women's clothing are here....there are lots of racks around the store that have many many items for less than $5. Incredible. The shoe section is all the way in the back, and it was a bit small but very busy with people trying on shoes.Rainbow Shops was founded in 1935 in New York City by Irving Arthur Swarzman, an Austrian native who was raised in Brooklyn. Swarzman brought his four brothers (Herman, Oscar, Ira, and Nat) into the business as they reached working age. They built the business from one shop to a high of eighty-two stores before selling the business in the 1980s. Today, along with sister brands 5-7-9 and Marianne, Rainbow operates 1,300 stores in United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.”
