This place is expensive to begin with but than when you pick up your taxes the “system” so they say, adds on more fees… I already paid a ridiculous price to have my taxes done than they charge you more. I won’t be back. They lost a customer for this.

Lisa at the reservoir ave h&r block location was super helpful when I had a lot of unfiled back returns, saved me a lot of money and even found some I didn't know I had coming to me. Amazing

They messed up my tax return for 2021 which cost me around 1500 and I had to meet with them many many times to fix it. At one point I came in to see what was going on and the lady at the desk told me they can't do anything and I should go home and wait for a letter from the state because they probably will mail me (Even though it had been over a year since the taxes were filed). This is the same state that sent me an email that I had a notification in the online portal, and the notification was that they had sent me a digital letter (not an email) and the digital letter was that they had sent me a regular letter, and two days later the regular letter came and it was informing me I had signed up for their online portal and would receive notifications there. If they were mailing me I would know it.Their main goal always seems to be to get you to go away. It's always 'I got your info I'll do this later and email/call you' and the email or call never comes. You have to keep following up to get anything done. If you're following up for a status update it starts with 'oh it takes 2 weeks' then 'it takes 6 weeks' then 'it could take up to 6 months' then eventually 'just go home and wait for a letter in the mail.' They keep the door locked if they have no appointments, honestly I would not be surprised if when I knocked instead of opening the door they turn off the lights and hide. Luckily I don't have to go back.They put in a customer care request to get me a refund, and I had to follow up with them 4 times over it for 10 weeks waiting on the refund, and still never actually got a call from the branch like the customer care team said I would.

Staff is awesome no issues with staff its the prices they need to be more reasonable on regular tax returns anyone can do a regular return i did my own taxes on line and once took 25 mins so basically for a 25 min tax return fees of 400 is just unreasonable
