I have had my Crisloid custom tournament backgammon board for 10 months now! All I can say is the quality is unmatched! Customer service is truly unbelievable. I bet I emailed them a dozen times when I was building my first board. Amy and Lucian worked with me every step of the way. They helped me make decisions when I was stuck on what color of checker or board to get. When I received my board I was truly amazed at the workmanship and quality of the board. I’m writing this now because I am ordering my second board along with some amazing checkers. If you’re trying to decide between a Crisloid and another board and you came here to read reviews just know that you will not find a better board and a better group of people to help you make your dream a reality.

Was just feeling thankful! We play three games a night with our Crisloid tournament attaché, and have for years! It greatly enhanced our experience, and has held up beautifully! The cork is not marred. The leather cups still look great. Excellent craftsmanship.

Excellent products. Impeccable workmanship. Patient and helpful staff. I own three Crisloid backgammon sets. These quality American-made games are built to last. After twenty-plus years, my oldest set still looks and plays as well as the one I recently purchased. They're well worth the price.

I visited this location on a whim yesterday and it was a wonderful experience that blew me away. It was a delight to see how everything was manufactured and the staff there were exceptionally friendly and welcoming.These are great sets, made with passion, by people who clearly love what they do.

From ordering until delivery to Germany it took about five weeks. That's a long time, but it was definitely worth the wait. The board (it's the tournament attaché) and build quality is amazing. The checkers (with one sided finger-dishing), the surface, the dices, the dice cups, the colours,... woah, just so good. It's even better than I expected. I love it! Just can't wait to play tonight. A big thanks goes to Amy for the very nice contact via email :)

I have to say that I had a great experience with Crisloid. To be more precise, with Amy from thr sales team. She was so helpful, doing the best to help me to get the final project. After much thought and research, and a guided tour of their workspace, I was proud to order the Hops tournament size board. It is a work of art, the quality and feel are magnificent. All the products are handmade; literally a dozen crafts-people will contribute to completing this board. I can't emphasize enough how much my wife and I enjoy playing on this board and how much I enjoyed the purchase experience - Fine People We are planning a two week-long travel trailer trip this summer and will likely buy a travel board for it. Crisloid's products are simply beautiful and well made here in Rhode Island to boot.

I ordered the MultiCam Camo Backgammon Set. $450.00. Apparently, due to the pandemic, demand for backgammon boards greatly dominated or exceeded supply, and my backgammon board took seven or so weeks to produce and deliver. Be prepared to wait, and if you are buying a gift, be sure to email Crisloid to let them know a date. My experience is that they will stand to the challenge if possible with no-nonsense customer service. Customer Service: Email seems to work best. I could never get anyone on the telephone. I found the customer service solid and successfully traded emails several times. My sense is that they will go a measure beyond what is fair to meet your expectations. Toward the end of a six-week wait, I emailed and advised them that I was going on a motorhome trip on a specific date. Crisloid was able to do what needed to be done to deliver my new backgammon board before my trip. Value: $450.00 felt to me like a lot of money. However, after searching, I found other backgammon boards that didn't seem more likeable for more. Some were a lot more. I wanted something as exquisite as I could get within reason, and I believe Crisloid delivered. I plan to hand this backgammon board down and am hopeful it will endure memories for generations. Design: I love the Camo Theme. The colours are beautifully selected, and the red MultiCam logo in the centre of each side pops against the camouflage colourings. The red makes the presentation feel like a professional field or court where one would play a ballgame or campaign. Craftsmanship & Materials: I don't know how you could get more durable than coverings made of Cordura fabric. They say the frame is made of hardwood, but I don't know what kind. It's covered, so who cares as long as it isn't plywood. Everything is built to precision and works flawlessly. The leather cups are a satisfying splurge. Play: This is a large backgammon board, and I hope you believe me when I say bigger is superior. (MORE FUN) This backgammon board also closes up like an attaché case, so it travels well in every situation I've encountered. The only thing I would say is that the playing surface made of a corkboard is slippery, so you need to find a level base, or it could frustrate play. I have played over 300 games on it in a short time and have enjoyed it immensely. I appreciate the playing space enough that I hope my daughters will also enjoy learning the game so that I can buy twice more as gifts. Recommendation: I would choose one of the Tournament Attaché selections currently priced at $300.00. You might also email Crisloid to find out if they have something unique sitting on the shelf. We like to curate unique, yes? Yelp!
