I’ve been a shopper of Ocean State for years. Normally I would not bother leaving a review however, last week I was at this location and needed help with a patio tent. The lady at the front desk called for someone to help me and told me to go wait over by the one I would like to purchase. 15 minutes later no one has come over to help me. Finally a woman shows up, but it’s to help someone else. The lady up front looks like she’s been doing a thousand things today and while she’s doing a great job, I can’t help but think to myself where is her management team to help her. Pawtucket Ocean State please get it together. No one employee should be doing the job of multiple people, and no customer should be waiting 15+ minutes for help.

Can find Good stuff at good prices. I always go in with a few things in mine and come out with a lot more than I expected!

Good mix of discounted items.
Their plants are cheaper than most other places. I've had decent luck raising them up and they tend to do very well. Just need to make sure you plant accordingly with your sunlight/shade locations
Teas and snacks are big in variety and low in price. They often have great discounts if you use their app and look for extra bargain bargains.
Sign up for their insider trading coupons as well as massive returns with gift cards for certain items. These rotate on a regular basis so I check weekly

I love this place! Especially the crazy deals, where you get free merchandise, just for buying things that you need! I go to the one on Anne Mary Street, and Megan from the customer service desk, as well as the other store team members there, are always friendly, helpful and professional!

We "discovered" Ocean State Job Lot when we camped at Fisherman's Memorial back in the early 1980s, years before we moved to Rhode Island. What a great idea! Buying up overruns of good products to sell at discounted prices. We've been living here for decades now and still appreciate the helpfulness of OSJL staff. After another good experience today, I want to thank Melissa, Tiago, and Joseph at the 122 Pawtucket store -- along with many other kind staff who have helped us over the years.
