Me and my wife were in Newport for the oyster fest and she went into this store to buy a shirt. She absolutely loved it. I bought some men's cologne that smelled amazing. Woman working there was very helpful with everything and so nice.

My favorite women's boutique in Newport! They have so much, and so many finds I can't find elsewhere. Staff is so lovely and fun too. Can often find sale items also!

Lovely little gem. Curated selection of wonderful finds across range of style, purpose, and price points. Best of all, the ladies in the shop were professional and friendly. A great experience!

Lots of clothes. All different style’s. Many of them only in small or medium size, that’s why I took a star away. But they also have a lot of jewelry, shoes, bags and random food items.

Buyer beware! If I could give a negative star review I would. This is a beautiful boutique with some gorgeous items; however their customer service is absolutely atrocious. I had made a purchase of a beautiful bracelet in April 2022 and days later, the very first time wearing it- the stone fell off the charm. I reached out by phone and spoke with a store associate who let me know that a manager would get back to me. I did receive a phone call about a week later from Cecilia, who left a voicemail telling me to contact the company who made the bracelet directly. While I found that odd, I could not make out the name of the company in her voicemail and so I followed up with an email to ask for clarification. I never got a reply back, and subsequently sent multiple unanswered emails to find out what to do or the status of a replacement or refund of a bracelet that they sold me. I would have even taken store credit but it was not even offered. The only reply I got was that they were sorry I was dissatisfied with the way they were handling it, and that they were (finally) trying to get a hold of the company to see if they would send me a replacement themselves. Months of emails that I had sent went unanswered, and I finally figured out the company which produced the bracelet myself. I emailed the company this week and one of their representatives replied immediately, and was absolutely appalled that I was treated this way. They resolved the issue by sending me a $100 credit to their company and are even working on sending me a replacement. I was happy to shop at Monelle, as we all know small businesses especially need support these days. It's a shame that this business deceived me to believe that I needed to contact their vendor, and that they eventually were doing it on my behalf. I have never in my life experienced such poor, and exceptionally inappropriate customer service. I'm not one to write reviews... however, seeing how Monelle actually achieved what they wanted all along- they kept my money and allowed their vendor to foot the bill (and made me do the leg work) I needed to warn anyone who may be reading this and is considering this shop. Terrible terrible terrible experience.

I'm angry at myself for spending money here but I hadn't found anything and it was our last day. Let me lead by saying I prefer boutique shopping because of the superior customer service...that was not the case here. There were 3 women working there, not one of them asked me if I wanted to start a dressing room or if I needed help etc. What were they doing instead? One was on the phone making travel plans, the other one was walking around averting my gaze and I lost track of the third. I hope whoever is in charge reads this and does something.

Absolutely Beatiful Items and I spent several hundred dollars. For the love of God, please hire new employees. These girls were the absolute worst! Absolutely horrendous service! Perhaps because I wasn't dressed up that day, you could truly see and feel the judgemental attitude from every single young girl that worked there. Disgusting.

There's a reason why this store only has one star ratings. Let me preface by saying I've spent thousands of dollars at this store in the past years. I would go to Newport regularly - sometimes just to go to Monelle. I took my daughter shopping for her 6th birthday and found a pair of shoes ($78) that she liked. She was so excited she wore them in the store and I paid for them and walked to the store's "balcony" (out front). There were no tags on the shoes at all. Once she went to their balcony, she said they were tight and uncomfortable, so I went back and asked to return them and the staff said that she walked out of the store so they weren't sure. This all happened within a matter of 5-10mins. The staff said they would call the manager to confirm the transaction, but that I would most likely just get store credit. I actually didn't mind that much because I liked a pair of $218 Citizen jeans that I could buy with the store credit. I had to wait in Newport for almost 6 hrs to hear back from them. No one ever called me so I eventually called them. The girl that I spoke to said that manager said that I could not return the shoes because they were worn out and there was no tag (but the shoes never came with a tag in the first place so that was confusing. Apparently no one sent her a photo of the soles, which had zero wear and tear on the soles because the shoes were not worn on the street (just their shop and store front). So I had to drive back to store from Goat Island to pick up the shoes and I said to the staff that I was pretty surprised that the manager wouldn't allow me to even get store credit, since they'd essentially be making a profit with the purchase of the jeans. The staff member said that she actually forgot to tell the manager that part. At that point I wasn't going to wait in Newport any longer. They definitely lost a customer for life - not going back there or to the Monelle in Nantucket.

Luxury store with classless, and immature associates. Would not recommend or return until there are staffing changes. The brunette cashier was making fun of customers on the sales floor. So Tacky. Rolled her eyes when people asked basic questions. How someone with such disregard for basic manners could be employed at a high end store is mind blowing. This store was darling. So many cute items with Italian inspiration. So much potential if they even had average sales associates.

Do NOT have anything shipped to your home. Everything was broken. The shipping consisted of tissue paper, only, around items.

I was so excited to look for a rehearsal dinner outfit for my wedding at Monelle, but ended up extremely disappointed in the customer service. The girls working seemed more interested in their friends visiting and looking at their cell phones. My dressing room was overflowing with dresses I could barely see the mirror. You think they could have removed some as I tried on more? Some suggestions.....ask your customers what they are looking for, maybe ask their size and help bring in some dresses they might like? Remove dresses from your customers fitting room after they have been tried on. And put the cell phones away while you have customers. I would expect more at a high end boutique. Went next door to Echo and the customer service there was a million times better.

This dishonest retailer should be avoided. Just before Christmas I bought an expensive cashmere sweater for my daughter. I explained that I was sending it to her in Seattle, and was not sure of the fit. The manager offered that she would give me a gift receipt, so that my daughter could send it back if the sweater did not fit. That turned out to be the case, and she sent it back to me. When I took the sweater in for an exchange, I was told the gift receipt was only good for 7 days, and I was too late. The manager who pushed the sweater on me made no mention of any time limit. If she had I would not have made the purchase given that the item would have to be mailed both directions, a fact of which I made her aware.
