I’ve been with Malloy for many years now after switching companies a few times. The techs have always been excellent and have cared for whatever problems arose in a very timely way! I highly recommend them!

We had our boiler serviced last week and were pleasantly surprised. Brian the service technician was extremely knowledgeable and courteous. He did extra vacuuming around my boiler as well as the general cleaning of my boiler and some of the flue that was accessible. He was extremely neat and thorough. He left the boiler area cleaner then when he arrived, no drops of oil on the floor and no smell of oil in the basement. Overall excellent service and TH Malloy will continue to be our oil delivery and service provider. Highly recommend!

Goodbye to Malloy Oil. After 20+ years, I am making a move as a result of horrible customer service this morning. Update to my earlier review from today - a company I have never done service with was kinder, more professional, and far more understanding than the two people I spoke with at Malloy today. They delivered a small amount of oil within an hour of my calling and treated me with complete and total respect. Take a lesson, Karen. That's how you treat customers. I will be paying the last two budget payments, getting my cleaning done, which I already paid for, and telling Malloy to get lost. Acorn Oil - you have a new customer.
UPDATE: To respond to Malloy's reply. Here is what they wrote: "As you know, you were on a budget plan for your oil deliveries and fell behind on payments. While we were able to accommodate a delivery in February despite the outstanding balance, we cannot consistently offer deliveries without payment.
We strive to work with our customers to find solutions that meet their individual needs, and we encourage open communication to address any concerns or difficulties with payment plans."
My rebuttal:
My payments were inconsistent this year, but the remaining balance would be paid off in the next two scheduled payments. For 20 years, I have NEVER had a balance carry over. Never. As far as working with customers to find solutions, that's a joke. Karin was so rude to me. She laughed at me and said "you wouldn't ask for gas to be put in your car without payment". There were no solutions offered at all. It was pay the balance in full and you get oil. No other options at all. And now my annual cleaning, which has been paid for, is being "held hostage". I am being told that I have to go through the owners to get it scheduled with one payment remaining. And to get to the other owners I have to "go through" Karin. Last phone call, when I reiterated to Matty that I would be leaving, she said, "It's not a good idea to threaten leaving when I need something from them." --Meaning the cleaning I already paid for!!!! It's not about the oil delivery at this point. It's about being treated in such a demeaning and belittling manner. There is no valuing loyalty and working with customers there. None whatsoever. Can't wait to be done with this company. Sad how much it has changed.

Something has definitely changed with this company. Just got off the phone a second time with them. To say I am beyond disappointed with the treatment I received this morning would be putting it mildly. I am on a budget payment plan with them, as I have been for over 20 years. I had them put in my new oil tank a few years back. I have always been happy with their service and their professional and personal treatment of customers -- until this morning. I ran out of oil and can not take less than a 150 gallon delivery and I have to pay my $500.+ balance before delivery. There should be some sense of loyalty. A customer of over 20 years, who, even when behind a bit, ALWAYS pays the balance of her account. Maybe, just maybe, they could help in some way this time around. Instead, I am without heat. I am not a "fly by night" customer. I have been with them for two decades! I called back to schedule my cleaning, which I have already paid for, and they now tell me they won't do the cleaning until the balance is paid, even though I paid for that service already. I have never been made to feel so worthless by any company, let alone one I have done business with for over 20 years. So thanks to the two women I spoke with this morning (Karen and Mattie), one of them being an owner, I will pay off the balance in the next few weeks, get my cleaning that I already paid for, and switch companies for next season and beyond. I am done with Malloy Oil and anyone who treats a customer this way.

Many thanks to all at TH Malloy. Had our boiler cleaned today; the service technician showed up on time. extremely knowledgeable and professional. The sales staff, office staff and ownership are helpful, reliable and courteous . Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a professional oil provider and service company.

Just had a Malloy truck tailgate me on rt 146. If for any reason I had to quickly stop, he would be in my trunk.If drivers are allowed to drive recklessly , and Rev their engine behind you so close, in an effort to get you to drive faster, and when you call to report the issue of a truck tailgate, you get an attitude. This company is going is going to have a law suit on their hands, or worse someone could die in thisSituation I kept praying that I wouldn't have to come to quick stop, because I know he wouldn't be able to stop on time.This company. Must be tough to work with if you have a complaint.

All the negative reviews are so accurate. They are extremely rude to deal with. They treat there customers like crap. They don't fix anything for the service fee. They leave you hanging when you request a quote on some work.

We used T. H. Malloy & Sons back in the eighties when we lived in Cumberland RI. We moved to Florida and then to Ct. We are back in RI once again. We contacted T.H. Malloy shortly after purchasing our new home. They haven’t changed in forty years!!! Still reliable, reasonable, and a pleasure to do business with! We know we are getting great oil at a great price. They also do A/C and furnace maintenance and repair. We highly recommend T.H. Malloy for piece of mind when it comes to heating and air! The previous owners had been a customer of theirs since 1997! That speaks volumes. We wouldn’t think of using anyone else!!

T.H. Malloy & Sons have been a joy to work with and they truly go above and beyond to ensure communication, professionalism, and top quality work. My basement was spotless after the install of a new oil tank!! The owner even stopped by to introduce himself!! As a new customer, could not be more satisfied!! Highly recommend without reservation!! Just purchased our home and got a friendly note from Hank that they had been servicing our home for over 30 years with the past owners. We called them and wanted to upgrade from Oil to propane. They immediately sent over the team and provided us with quotes to install propane. We decided based on our conversations with the team that we would do an underground tank. The excavation team, plumbing team, and the propane delivery team completed it all in less than a week. Couldn’t be happier with the interactions, and integrity of the opinions provided to get us the best installation to meet our requirements. Thank you to Hank, Skip, Craig, Jack and the rest of the team completing the work.
