Opening an account today with the Barrington Bank of America was nothing short of exemplary as far as the outstanding personal service extended to us by the Bank Manager Mac who was courteous, professional and went beyond the call of duty.

I informed them the drive thru ATM screen was frozen and they told me they already knew! Nobody thought of putting up a sign to inform the next customers.

Every time I have needed something from this bank they are confused and unable to help. The direction is basically to contact some other part of the bank (online support, corporate) and they are unable to provide any information or assistance themselves. Typically, when I go in there is a line for the 1 teller and 3-4 people walking around with tablets doing nothing. Today, I was in the middle of being helped and asked that they make a call for in hopes of resolving an issue. I then got told they have an appointment but can talk to me later "depending how busy it is." What?! I'm already thee but they won't continue to help me if there are other people there? I've been using Bank of America for over 10 years and the past few years going in has essentially been pointless and I plan to switch to another bank.

Terrible customer service. They go out of their way NOT to help. Lots of banking options in barrington. I’d pick a different on than this!

Very poor customer service. Refused to help me change my name without an appointment , went directly to my other bank they changed it in two minutes. Went to a different Bank of America branch, they changed it no problem. This location is not willing to help and will give you attitude for no reason.

Terrible bank no help to non customers of the bank. Don’t waste your time driving there.

I thought she would help me patiently, but what I didn't expect was that she didn't continue but gave me a phone number for me to solve. The same thing was at Sandanter Bank and they patiently helped me solve the problem.

Unfortunately Cathy at this location informed myself and wife that we both need to be in office at same time in order to update her last name on our joint account. Cathy; I spoke with Corporate and they have advised it is not necessary for us both to be in office, we can mail the paperwork in to bank of america and it will be updated. Thanks....
