I live next to the Maxi Coteaux du lac, it's convenient for last minute needs, there are always good discounts also the staff is courteous and efficient. There are always roast chickens at meal times and hot somosas!!

I like to encourage this grocery store but GRACE have good cash management.
Sometimes at 12 or 1 p.m. one or two checkouts for 20 to 30 customers.

Own. Decent service. Products generally in stock. Downside on the expiration dates. I am used to checking the dates with refrigerated items, but at this max you have to check everything. The rotation seems deficient and we occasionally find expired items on the shelves...sometimes for a long time. Check your self-service checkouts, they are blocked for absolutely nothing…

Well presented fruits and vegetables; Our products are easy to find and have a wide variety. Very large store, formerly a Provigo. Fast checkout not fast at all! 4 items to pass and the machine bogs at each item! When you scan with the gun, it's to leave your products in the basket....you have to weigh all the vegetables even if you have the code.......we can't pay cash....but nothing is explained in the area, you have to guess!?. More complicated than Super C so I get angry and go through the checkout with a human! This system is ridiculous if it's more frustrating for the customer....but Maxi saves on employees! In any case it appears ps in the prices! You were cheaper than Super C in the 90s but now, no. Those days are over!!

I am at my 3rd experience at this Maxi with faulty self-serve stations. On my last visit, I had to call the employee overseeing the station roughly 10 times. She seemed genuinely sorry about the inconvenience (which wasn't her fault anyways), but this again made the customer experience mediocre at best.
I also had the alarm system start twice on me. On one of these instances, our then one and a half daughter confused, started crying. Again, not the fault of the staff, but contributes to the lacking customer experience.
I have asked some employees on such occasions if they could relay these inconveniences to their supervisors, but was told that even if they did, these measures had been put in place to deter theft. While I understand their desire to reduce theft incidents, I cannot comprehend how other ALL other major grocers in the area are able to maintain a pleasant customer experience while also doing so.

They offer weekly deals if you prepare ahead for shopping. Compared to last year, they are offering more ingredients for Chinese cuisine such as soy sauce,oyster sauce, and Chinese cabbage and many more vegetables.To save more, you may keep an eye on those weekly flyers. I wish they offered more PC points though!
