Beware of the materials of the new Kanuk coats which wear out prematurely and are not replaced by Kanuk, despite the product's advertised lifetime warranty. Very poor customer service which contradicts itself and the promise of quality is not kept.
The employees at the Rachel Street store told me right away that it was premature wear and that it was a frequent and known problem in recent years.
Despite this, after internal consultation with "the seamstress", they call you back to tell you that ultimately it is normal to have holes after only 6 months of total use, while I wore it alternating with other coats only for very short journeys.
This is very disappointing knowing that I had purchased a Kanuk precisely for the reputation of robustness of their products ?
And I thought that at this price I would buy peace with quality service, what a mistake!
Instead they even want to charge you $25 for "basic cleaning" which probably turns out to be the seamstress' hourly wage. Disastrous! And cheap!

The Rachel street location in Montreal has very unfriendly staff that are condescending with their customers. Too bad for Kanuk’s reputation!

Really very disappointing experience. A coat purchased from Kanuk should be a guarantee of quality but unfortunately this is not the case.
A Kanuk coat that you have owned for only three seasons (including two years of pandemics where our activities were relatively restricted), that you wear alternately with two North Face coats, which are around twenty years old, should not have the worn look...Both North Faces are still impeccable after all this time.
So I went to take it for inspection, to see if Kanuk honors the guarantee it puts forward on its website. The clerk who received me noticed that the fabric was cracking at the cuffs and that the inside of the coat was visible on one corner (the only thing that was repaired). It was he himself who pointed out to me that the fabric seemed to wear out prematurely wherever there are pockets.
A few days later, the saleswoman told me that there was nothing to do, that the repair was considered normal...
I asked him what the guarantee applied to... coat guaranteed for life based on what criteria! No response from him...
I asked her if she found this normal! No answer except that she was not an expert on the subject..
No excuses.
I believe it is better to spend your money elsewhere because customer satisfaction does not seem to be at the heart of the company.
P.S. A friend who had seen her sleeve edges wear prematurely on a Canada Goose coat (wear exactly the same as my Kanuk), was offered a new coat, the company recognizing the weakness of the fabric.
A satisfied customer always remains a good brand ambassador.

Several years ago, my partner and I each bought a kanuk. Recently I renewed the experience by buying a new kanuk. Unfortunately I had a mishap, my dog tore a tear on the front of my new Kanuk. I contacted the company on Rachel Street in Montreal to explain to them what had happened to me. They sent me a shipping voucher and I shipped my kanuk to the company. They carried out the repair in a very professional manner and sent my kanuk to my home at no cost. Rare is such a professional company giving excellent services like Kanuk. A big thank you and congratulations for your dedication and great service.

What a disappointment.
I specify:
I love my coat. Two years of love.
It tore 5 centimeters. A hitch, I don't even know how.
So I took it to the store because given the price and quality sold, the seller told me it was guaranteed.
“Not for snags,” the salesman said, not even pleasant.
They said they would send me back a quote for the hitch. But what’s more, the service wasn’t there. Not pleasant, not in the solution.
Amazing service for $1200 two years ago.

I paid almost $700.00 dollars for a coat at Kanuk and they don't even give you a bag to store it in the spring at Simons I got bags for each coat purchased last year.

Horrible company and jackets. Bought a nearly $1000 jackets for the zipper to break the second time wearing it. Brought it the the store and the customer service spilled her pop all over it then said I'd need to pay to get it cleaned before they would repair. Payed and waited 4 months. The whole winter with no jacket. Horrible customer service all the way through. Got the jacket back with seemingly no repairs done. Zipper broke again the day I got it back. Don't waste your money for poor quality jackets with even poorer quality customer service. 0 stars.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS STORE.This is your warning. I purchased a coat wanting to buy Canadian, was too small. Returned in brand new condition.Received email that my return was accepted and pending. It has been a month and I still have not received a refund. Will not answer my emails. Does not answer the phone.I will have to file a complaint to BBB and legal consumer complaint against the company - with no guarantee I’ll get my money back.Absolute worst experience from a store online I’ve ever experienced. Nothing Canadian about this customer service. Read other reviews… skip the company altogether. Go for Quartz or Canada Goose instead.

Very good product but almost non-existent after-sales service. To have a coat repaired it takes 3 months and the coat must be washed before. I forgot to ask if it should be cleaned at home or by a cleaner. It is now impossible to reach the service by telephone or chat for information.The warranty and after-sales service justified the purchase price, so rather disappointed on that front.
