I recently purchased a used vehicle from Taddeo, a Volvo Laval dealership. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing for several reasons.
First of all, I was sold a vehicle with a rim that had already been welded, without this information being communicated to me. Two days after recovering my vehicle, this rim gave way. The seller, Daron, never mentioned this prior repair.
I dropped off my vehicle for repairs on Thursday, October 24, specifying that I would need it by Friday, November 1, which gave them a week to complete the repairs. During this period, no follow-up was done on their part; I had to contact them several times to get news, but no specific date was given to me regarding the availability of my vehicle. Finally, on November 1st, I received a response from the director, Patrick, informing me that the vehicle would not be ready until the following Monday, November 4th. This situation forced me to cancel my weekend commitments.
In addition, the courtesy vehicle provided by the company lacked registration and insurance papers. As a result, during a police check, I was unable to present these documents, which resulted in two fines.
In short, I strongly advise against this establishment, whose customer service and transparency leave something to be desired.

Recently picked up our new XC60. Bought a used vehicle that was posted as a Volvo Laval vehicle, but when I went to see it, I got sent to a small out of the way place with maybe 10 cars on the lot. The vehicle was 2 years old and they replaced the battery in it, which seemed very strange and should have raised ALARM BELLS!!. The vehicle had a 2.8 Amp short that killed the battery after the first day I had the vehicle. I got stranded in New Brunswick on a Sunday morning and had to wait hours for CAA to boost the vehicle. The response from the company was "it was working perfectly when they sold it to me" and Subaru Canada will fix it. During the numerous times I tried to contact Daron and his supervisor Marc-Andre it was very hard to get a response from them, and the manager Marc-Andre would not reply to any of my e-mails of phone calls.
Patrick the "General Manager Vicinity Laval" finally did e-mail me on numerous occasions, but said that if I was local they would have given me a loaner car and taken care of the issue, but I was not local, so they were unwilling to compensate me for the headaches, broken down vehicle, and I am still waiting to get the vehicle fixed 2 months later.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!
So response from the owner, they will get back to the person with the 2.8 Amp electrical short from Nova Scotia, I guess there are so many of us they can't figure out which one it is...

UPDATE: Following my comment, I received a call from Lorden, Service Department Director at Volvo Laval. Lorden has been in this position for about a few months and you can tell he wants to do things right. He took the time to listen to me and treated our issue with great seriousness and professionalism. He came right away with a very satisfactory solution for us and made sure the whole process went smoothly. This is the service I would have liked to have received from the start but I am happy to see that our dissatisfaction with the situation was treated with all the seriousness necessary.
In short, I am changing my review to give 5 stars because Lorden offered us a service worthy of that. Thank you so much!
Original comment: We had excellent service from Alain when purchasing our vehicle in August 2022. That's where the good experience on our side ends.
The after-sales service is simply poor. We've had more problems with this car (a V90 CC) in two years than with any other car before. Considering we're talking about a car costing over $80k, I would have expected the team to do everything possible to minimize the inconvenience for us. We rather have the impression of being treated like less than nothing, or even of bothering the guys in the service department. I have never been treated like this at VW, even though my vehicle was worth three times less.
The final straw this morning: for the second time in FOUR months, our right front tire needs to be replaced. A nice bill of at least $850. My partner explains to the service man that it makes no sense for the same tire to have to be replaced twice in 4 months... he doesn't even bother to listen to her, he keeps his eyes on his screen and seems totally disinterested.
Last time I went to Volvo Laval and bought a Volvo. You are very, very bad ambassadors for this brand. Well done Volvo Laval! I can't wait to get my call asking how my experience with you was!
