I went into Plato's Closet this past Friday, after a long, hot day of work. I was bringing in some clothes I no longer wanted, in order to try to make some extra cash to get by until next week. I had called earlier to see what the process was and if I would have to wait for a significant amount of time before getting the cash for any items they would take. I was under the impression that I wouldn't have to wait and that they would go through the items right then and there. But, when I walked in I was told that there were several people in line in front of me. The cashier also said that in about twenty minutes, I would receive a text upon completion of my items being sorted/prices. I was very rude at that point and started complaining, which I am not proud of. I stormed out and sat outside and smoked a cigarette. About 5 minutes later, to my surprise- I got the text that my items were ready for pickup! When I walked in, there was a gentlemen at the register. He apologized immediately for any misunderstanding on the phone and let me know that he did whatever he could, to get my items processed as quickly as possible because my time is valuable, and he realizes that. His name is Eric, and he was truly one of the most genuine people I have ever come across in customer service. You can tell that he truly values his customers and their time, and treated me with nothing but kindness and respect even when I wasn't the nicest to him!
Thank you so much, Eric- for giving me the best experience possible at Plato's Closet and I will most certainly be coming back!

they try to lowball you on great clothing or sneakers you’ve barely worn. They try to lowball you on expensive brands that are doing a service to their company. They have nothing in there worth buying but wanna lowball people for bringing good quality pieces to their store.

Second time at the Plato’s Closet. I love the quality, organization. You pay for second hand brands. The manager, Erik and staff are friendly, kind and have great customer service. Excellent work to all! Will continue to shop here while visiting PA.

Great deals, I go at least once a month. Super friendly staff and store is clean and well organized. Highly recommend, they have men's clothes as well, we both always leave with something!! I have also donated and was pleased with cash trade!!

I brought a bag full of good cloth and tbh I feel like they didn’t go through my clothes how they was supposed to they said it was gonna take 45 mins when they took like 15 minutes to theres no way they went though 3 bags of clothes in that short amount of time I feel like that they need to take there time and look at clothes cause in my bag there’s still new clothes with tags and everything

I’m an thrift shopper in general and actually did enjoy shopping here but I see now they’ve picked and choose what to buy from sellers I went there and it was all minors running the store and already sorting through bags I bring three big bags full of clothes(good quality & washed and cleaned ) any other time it’s take 30 mins or even more to sort through clothes but this time was 5-8 mins and for me that’s just lazy and unprofessional to not actually go through actually nice brands of clothing because it’s close to closing time this isn’t the first time Plato’s ripped me off neither I brought 100$ pairs of new balance never worn and they didn’t even pay for me that. Soo the little girls took 30$ worth of things probably my designer bathing suits or something like that and I got 9$. I wasn’t rude. And I should’ve spoken up because they didn’t sort through 3 big full bags of clothes under 20 mins it took me an hour just to sort through them to take to Plato’s. Never going back. I rather thrift in New York
