I've known Dave since I was a kid, he's tended to my parents' medication and my grandparents too, if I'm remembering right; he's amazing. He came in on a Sunday to ensure my father had medication needed for a kidney stone removal. Among so much else he's done for my family. He and the staff are incredible, patient and there's no question too ridiculous.

What a joke for a mom and pop store , my prescriptions were filled on the 29th I picked them up Saturday the 31st and noticed that 2 were missing when I asked no one could tell me why the weren't filled one being a blood thinner that I was out of so at 1130 on a Saturday I am supposed to find this at another pharmacy my self also it was the end of the year so now I have to pay 400 for this prescription somewhere else I was also told they would no longer accept my insurance

Always have the best experience here. Friendly staff, rarely wait (I try to call ahead), they notify me if there is any issue before I get there, plenty of easy parking.Disclaimer: I have known David Riley for over 30 years and even worked with him thru the years. Since I no longer practice retail, I needed a pharmacy! Of the multitude of pharmacies, both mail order and local, I chose Antietam Pharmacy.✔️ it out!

Dave, the Pharmacist at Antietam Pharmacy is very knowledgeable and always takes the time to answer any of my questions regarding new prescriptions. I've been relying on his advice for years and not just for myself, but they also have prescriptions for your furry family members as well. Highly recommend Dave and Antietam Pharmacy!

Will be going ahead and filing a complaint with the PA Board of Pharmacy but save yourself the headache of going here. The pharmacist will hang up on you after telling you it’s his policy to not fill a valid and legitimate prescription because the “doctor is too far”. It was explained we recently moved to the area but he doesn’t care. He’d rather tell me to “call the cops” when I explained he was discriminating and that his patient was having side effects from NOT HAVING the medication. Was asked what we should do to then get it filled (because according to PA laws they have to help you find somewhere else to fill the script if they refuse) he refused to give an answer when asked this. This place needs to learn empathy and maybe learn the medical quote “do no harm”.

I am going to try and make a very long story short. If you have Tricare and are looking for a new participating pharmacy stay away from Antietam even if Express Scripts website shows it is an active participant. If I could leave no stars I would. Just this week I found out that Carl's Drug Store (don't get me started on that) no longer was accepting Tricare. So immediately I got on Express Scripts to find participating pharmacies and found Antietam which I chose because of the excellent reviews (probably because they don't have Tricare) and the fact it is locally ran by a family. We try and support small town businesses which is why we chose Carl's Drug Store that proved to be a mistake. So I requested my prescriptions to be transferred from Carl's on Tuesday and never heard back. So today I finally called Antietam to see if my prescription request went through or if they have received any from my provider. They informed me that they no longer were accepting Tricare but I mentioned the website. They said it was a mistake and that they were dropped from the program. So I spent about an hour on the phone with Express Scripts who were looking into the matter. The very nice and apologetic representative even got her manager involved. On their end it noted Antietam was indeed still part of the program and it showed generated co-pays when they entered my prescriptions. Ultimately I was able to get my prescriptions transferred to Martins but would have preferred somewhere closer. So I called Antietam back to give them a heads up because I did not want other customers going through the same situation that I am. When I told them that I was on the phone with Express Scripts and that their program even showed what the co-pays were for Antietam, the pharmacist said it was impossible because they were not part of the program since September of 2021. When I expressed my concern that other patients would go through the same headaches. He finally informed me that they knew in MARCH that they were still being showed as part of the Tricare program. When I said they may want to call Tricare and find out what is going on his response was "their mistake, their problem". Antietam also informed me that Express Scripts dropped them from the program only to find out that they just did not want to meet certain requirements to stay active. It started to bother me the more I thought about it because they should have notified me immediately when I requested transfers that they no longer accepted Tricare rather then me calling back after hearing nothing. They have no interest in calling Tricare to confirm that they are still active participates of the program. They seem to not care about the Military or their families because they know that Tricare is still saying they are part of the program but they are telling new/existing customers they are not. They do not seem to care if they are inconveniencing customers by forcing them to go without needed medications. They lack any accountability and place all the blame on Express Scripts (Tricare). Since talking to Antietam to give them a heads-up that they were still part of the program I I called Express Scripts back to inform them the answers I received from the pharmacist. Express Scripts is going to try and make corrections to their website so others will not have to go through my experience. They also gave me the phone number and address so I can file a grievance against Antietam because they are knowingly telling new/existing customers they no longer accept Tricare when they are still being acknowledged as part of Express Scripts program but not doing anything to confirm their status. In the grievance I will state all the information in this review as well as they are aware of the problem but lack any motivation to contact Tricare to solve this matter because according to Antietam Pharmacy it is Express Scripts mistake so it is their problem. I am so glad to know that several Military Veterans, Families, and Active Duty Members are a problem to serve because Antieta

Refused to give my prescription when they have a contract with my health insurance because they’d lose money. Was told that health insurance covers the difference. Still refused. Worse pharmacy I have ever been to. Will not return. I do not recommend this pharmacy. I recommend Savage Family Pharmcy. Great people, great place. No hassle whatsoever.

I do not recommend this pharmacy. Highly dissatisfied with the customer service they provided. Never in my 66 years of life have I been treated as poorly as I was at this pharmacy…

Have been going there 15+ years and can talk to Dave(pharmacist) about any problems or issues I might have. He has always been very easy to talk to and will listen to you. Couldn't ask for a better pharmacy and the staff are wonderful too.
