DO NOT BUY A CAR Here JAMES RICHEY is the Worst SALESMAN ever he sold me a Lemon. Also he pressured me into buying it he should be ashamed of himself Now I have to go and buy another car which will not be from here. This 5 Star review goes to the Service Dept. and the Service mgr. Scott. I normally take care of the maintenance on my grandmother's car after a Chevy dealership ripped her off for $922.00 6 months ago. Unfortunately I'm out of town on job training and she insisted on getting her oil changed at a Cochran Used Car lot near her home. I begged her to wait until I got home so she wouldn't get ripped off again, but she went anyways. When she got back from her oil change she called me and when I saw her number come up I cringed and thought, here we go again. I answered and said, "OK nonna, how much did they rip you off for?" She said my oil change was FREE! - I thought, OK what's the catch! She said that the guy who inspected her car earlier in the week told her to come back on Friday and he would change her oil for FREE because she was a loyal Cochran customer. Again I thought what's the catch, so I called the service dept and spoke with Scott. This guy was a true professional. He said my grandmother told him about her experience at that Chevy dealership and how they ripped her off and he told her that will never happen to her again as long as you visit a Cochran establishment. He took the time to answer all of my questions and said he enjoyed the conversation and time he spent with my grandmother. He said, often times elderly people are taken advantage of when it comes to car repairs, but when you come to a well established dealership like Cochran you should always expect honesty, integrity and excellent service and that's exactly what she got. Thank you Scott and thank you Cochran...you have a customer for life.

I'm not so up on leaving reviews about businesses, but this one is well deserved. Recently I took my wife's SUV in for an oil change at a Cochran used car dealership on Racetrack Rd. because it was close to home. I met up with a guy who runs the garage there. We spoke about getting my oil changed and even though they didn't have my oil filter in stock this guy went above & beyond to accommodate me. He was honest in telling me it would be about an hour to get the filter and complete the service, so I decided to take him up on his offer. During my wait that service guy took the time to discuss future maintenance on my wife's vehicle. He checked the car right in front of me pointing out the condition of the tires and how badly they were wearing on the insides, noting that a possible blowout could occur. He noticed the two child car seats in the back and brought all of this to light. I have twin boys, they're 2 years old and my wife drives this car daily with them fastened in the back. Because of his level of attention and detail I believe in my heart he saved my family from what could have been a tragedy. He explained to me what the issue was and why the tires were wearing so badly. He then took me inside and printed out a service plan for me to follow. I am in no way a car guy, but the way he explained everything made it easy to understand. This level of service was something that I did not expect, but that's what I got. On another note, I asked about the condition of the cars on the lot because my 18 year daughter was in need of her first car and once again Scott took the time to show me around the lot and explained the Cochran process that the used cars go through in his garage...hell, he even recommended a few cars and yes we came back 2 days later and bought a car. My daughter loves it and I'm very happy with my experience. The sales and service was truly #1. Thank you so very much.

Definitely would not recommend this dealership. I needed a simple, reliable car to get to and from work, didn't have to be anything fancy. I found one online that I liked, so I reached out to the dealership on a Thursday to inquire about coming in to see it that weekend. The salesman said it was still available but to confirm again before coming in. I texted on Saturday at 1pm to confirm it was still available and was told that it was. At 2:15pm, I texted to let the salesman know that I was on my way. 25 minutes later, he sent a text that the car was sold by another store but he had other similar priced cars. At that point, I was less than 10 minutes away so I figured it couldn't hurt to see what else they had.
I get there and the salesman I was communicating with was nowhere to be found. Another salesman looked for him and then offered to show me some cars and get some keys for test drives. He also let it slip that the car I was originally interested in was actually sold the night before, not that day like the original salesman led me to believe.
We end up going out on the lot with the sales manger to loo at the different cars available, I let him know what I am looking for and the price range I am comfortable with. He had one that was 2 years newer and 20k less miles than the original one I was interested in. The sales manager went back in to get the keys (somehow of the 7 I was given, that one wasn't included). While waiting, I was able to get a thorough look at the outsdie. It had a lot of minor body damage, which was not a huge deal but definitely off-putting. Then the original salesman I had been communicating with came out with keys. He starts it up and it starts fine, makes a joke about the low gas tank and sends me on my way for a test drive.
That car ran ROUGH. It squealed every time I accelerated, the brake was stiff. The interior was damaged and stained. And there was a HOLE in the floor! Whoever had this car previously, very clearly did not take good care of the car. And to top it off, the car was over $1,000 more than I was willing to spend. I was so put off with my whole experience, I didn't even bother looking under the hood.
Got back from the test drive and he asked how I liked it and I said it was awful. I mentioned maybe looking at a different car on the lot that I saw and he wouldn't even show it to me unless I was interested in financing because it was a little above my budget.
Definitely do not recommend this dealership, which is a shame because I know other Cochran dealerships are great.

We brought a 2011 s60
Volvo from this used car dealer.
My experience with this place is not at all pleasant.
Let just say I won't recommend nor will I be returning.
The car was not detailed, and not to mention i am not a fan of free advertising.
So off with the license plate frame that is exactly ? percent free advertising.
I gave two stars which is in my opinion two thumbs down.

After searching high and low, #1 Cochran Pre-Owned Marketplace was the only place that was able to help me find the car I wanted! They were quick, super friendly and knowledgeable about their stuff. I recommend them to anyone currently looking for a car!

Terrible experience. My 18 year old needed to buy a car when we were separated by a long distance. The manager promised to take care of her. Instead he put her in a vehicle with known safety issues that was recently part of a class action suit. When she experienced a life threatening event only 3 months into driving the car the same manager was a complete jerk about helping us. They won’t take our calls and are ignoring us. Do not trust a word they say. They will sell you a lemon in a heartbeat.

This is the WORST place I have ever had to deal with. I have bought several cars in my lifetime. And if I was not so far away from home, I would have left and never returned and found another car elsewhere. The funny thing is, I expressed my concerns at the dealership and when I was leaving they told me I would get a text or email to make my review and it’s been 3 weeks and I still haven’t gotten one. They purposely chose not to send me one because they knew they way they treated me was inexcusable.
"I recently visited this car service center and was extremely disappointed by my experience. The customer service was unsatisfactory; the staff was unhelpful and dismissive when I needed assistance. Moreover, I encountered unacceptable and aggressive behavior from an employee, which made me feel very uncomfortable. Most concerning was the presence of racially insensitive remarks, which is absolutely inexcusable. I hope my feedback prompts this establishment to address these serious issues and ensure that no other customer has to endure such an unwelcoming environment."
I arrived there and was greeted to myself. My husband is African American. He was not greeted. We went to the salespersons desk and he was on his phone and making phone calls and got up and was speaking to everyone in the store other than us. We waited very long to just to be waited on. We then came back a day later to purchase the vehicle, the finance manger was extremely aggressive and rude. I am thankful my husband was there to protect me. All because the salesperson gave me a total to pay in cash less than $100. So I was $100 short. Not my fault. I have never been so disrespected by a man in my life. Then the finance manager John made comments like he’s been broke n grew up with nothing and he will trust us to not run off with the $100. Well how can I do that when I can’t even take the car without paying the $100!!! He was very dismissive and very demeaning. Then I said I just want to get this transaction over with. I paid and got the keys. Then the sales man came out, James, and said he couldn’t control John and to Amie sure I have a good review because if I didn’t all I would get was a gift card. The integrity of Thai place is so disgusting. So please tell everyone about how ignorant and disrespectful they are. They have no customer service at all and they definitely are racist!!!

They will sell a used car. knowing that it is defective. Knowing that. I would never ever buy a car from number 1 Cochran ever again, I would advise you not to buy one from there at all!!
