My family has been client of the NBT bank for several years. We always had an outstanding customer service with the branches in Milford and Newfoundland. Unfortunately, my husband is undergoing a cancer treatment in Stroudsburg and we needed to spend the whole day at the cancer center. I had my pay check to be deposited in our account for some past due bills. I pleaded the cashier in Bartonsville to use the special slip for a same day deposit. She called the manager, who signed the check, making me believe they had released it for today. What a sad surprise when I stopped at the gas station to put gas to go back home and my card was declined for insufficient funds, as the check was pending. I hope those people will never go through hardship in their lives.

This is the worst experience I've ever had with a bank..I've deposited checks and I can't get access to my money when I do spoke with someone and they let some of the money available I still can't use the funds until after 24 hours..... I would not recommend no one to this bank ?

2nd time I felt weird vibes here, like they have never seen a person of color in their lifethought maybe I was wrong the 1st timecame here today, same thing..I'll do my banking elsewhere, def dont appreciate it !

This bank is shady don't do business with them!!! I've had to report them to the better business bureau. I have a personal loan with them and when I tried to pay it off the stated it's my fault that the account information I gave them was incorrect when in fact it's their phone lines that skip while talking. They continue to charge me interest on my loan while they "looked into it". They also messed up my credit while they were supposedly looking at the issue. They did NOT call back when they stated they would which caused the payment to be "late" which accumulated more interest even though I tried to handle this situation long before payment was even due. They refuse to allow customers to speak to a manager and their customer service representatives shouts at you and will try to talk over you. I am warning everyone not to do business with this company.
