For some reason these people don't know the difference between north and south.
I get so much mail belonging to someone who gets my mail in return.

This post office hasn’t delivered any of my mail for 2 months now. Have had a mail hold for 1 of those months and STILL no mail. Informed delivery notifies me that I have mail waiting there today, go in and they have nothing! Thieves in this post office without a doubt. USPS is in the worst shape it’s ever been.

Update: We moved but I still go through Steelton at times, and I FORGOT about my last Yelp review from November. And UGH, it is still horrific service there. I had two international packages to send, and I totally SHOULD have went elsewhere. I was the only one there when I arrived. The bank goblin from Harry Potter was writing something and VERY SLOWLY put his pen aside and asked to help me as I was awkwardly standing there. He told me I needed to fill out the slips, and so I was like "can I have a pen?" and he SLOWLY handed me one. I filled the 2 slips out lickity split and before he could inhale another breath I was back. He SLOWLY took the first package and my soul told me I would be standing there a VERY LONG TIME. He took an eternity to type. I had to help him spell things. Meanwhile customers were arriving behind me and my foot started to twitch. I looked at my son waiting behind me with a knowing glance, and I also made eye contact with the other worker with "HELP" on my face. He asked the goblin if he needed help but he said "no" and I was like "um, yes he does, please take over" I apologized profusely to the people behind me because I felt so bad even though it wasn't my fault at all. I hated that I needed stamps also, because the total time I was there was almost 45 minutes to mail two packages. EXPENSIVE packages, I might add. Who pays 20 dollars to send Skittles to Denmark? This d*** a** that is a pen pal and a loyal one. Do yourself a favor and go to ANOTHER post office. I am done here. Also, he NEVER apologized to the people that had been waiting, the ones that were left! Half of them left in pure frustration.

I live in Steelton on upper part of the Swatara Street, giving two "stars" instead of one only because of the honestly good job of the regular mailman, whom the management of the postal services uses as a "scape goat".

I've been trying to pick up packages for the past 3 weeks and can't since every time I go at 11 the desk has a note (at 11) saying they're on break... I go at 2pm and same thing.

All I wanted to do was speak to someone in the post office service. Everything was an automated and it didn’t even give you the option to do that it just kept saying passports. What happened to the day or people just answered good morning Steelton post office

The worst! This place is filled with ignorant employees, that run to the back of the building and threaten to call the cops on you for trying to put a hold on your mail. Absolutely lazy and do not want to do there work. Majority of people in steelton have not received mail in either days or weeks. This is ridiculous and this place needs a complete restructuring of the employees. The people that work here are honestly so rude that if u dont have self control you will end up doing something to someone.

Would give them zero stars if I was able too. Very rude women always in the front counter and is very sluggish. She goes on break around 2 and the whole building is closed because she’s at lunch. Very inconvenient to only have one person in the front.

This is a very historic, small town post office from decades ago. Architecturally, it is very beautiful. It is unfortunately located in a very sketchy town. The services offered are minimal but efficient. Patrons need to make sure they know how to conduct themselves in public as this is officially a government building.

I had to ship some very overdue Christmas gifts today, and I always dread going to the post office. I was extremely pleased and surprised at how quickly and smoothly the transaction went at the Steelton post office. Denise assisted me and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I wish all post office experiences where this friendly and easy.
