I moved to Lawrenceville this summer and have been DYING to go into Spruce & Adorn - sadly my schedule did not permit until finally yesterday the stars aligned. I went to open the door and though it was locked, the owner, Jenny, opened up shop and allowed me to poke around while she took a call. While admiring her astonishing collection of carefully curated pieces, I was gifted the opportunity to get to know Jenny better and to hear more about her mission as a small business owner and all of the services she continues to offer and practice through repeatedtrials and tribulations. As a one woman show she offers decor and furniture consultations for Only $125/HOUR. Sadly the city is hindering her business with the lack of communication and legislature calls...I genuinely feel Lawrenceville is at a turning point - will we be able to preserve the charm of Lawrenceville? Or will we succumb to the incoming 'Silicone Valley Jones' '? Go in and pick something out...volunteer some time...wear a tee shirt. Be a human with a heart....SHOP SMALL!! YOU FRIGGEN ROCK, JENNY!

I went here last summer (2022) and ordered a scorpio mug for my daughter. Paid for it to be shipped to my house. I still have not received it. I have sent an email and called and left a voicemail about it and did not receive a return message. $40 down the drain.

Such a charmed local gift shop! The owner curates from such wonderful brands across the country, and let us sample her homemade candles, lotions, and fragrances. One of the incenses we wanted weren’t in stock yet, so she offered to ship it to us for free since we were out of town.

Dear Spruce & Adorn-I want this platform to know how lucky I was on my travels last year in the spring to stumble upon this magical boutique and the owner Jenifer Schweitzer in the incredible city of Pittsburg.Everyone loves the feeling when you walk into an establishment and you are welcomed with warm kindness, and the feeling you can shop freely with your own thoughts at the same time as getting customer service that is knowledgeable about every single product they carry.Their products are unique, thoughtful, educational, sustainable and most importantly make you smile.I found a magical boutique with an owner that will always be in my heart for a lifetime.Thank you for being a part of a memorable experience in the heart of Pittsburgh!!!

we didn't plan on visiting this store during our weekend at Pittsburgh. my daughter, who is really into decor and nuance was unable to walk past, so we all went in. the woman perfecting the area by the windows greeted us in a way that was friendly and welcoming. we quickly found out that the fragrance was from a candle, but it's melting into something that can be used as a lotion, and we watched our teen run off with her "to try it on."i was later put to the test as a parent over persistence of a teenager that kept swinging her arm into my masked face convinced that i had to smell it to really understand what's important in life.back to the store: you could just tell that the woman from the window is the owner, and the whole place and experience was crafted by her. feeling welcomed wasn't just from the greetings, it was in the space itself. my thought, literally, was "oh, i wish she'd come over and do the magic at our Chicago studio." also, being a female business owner myself, it's essential to me to vote with my dollar and support other women.turns out, she's a seasoned designer: we exchanged contact info, and are so excited to have someone like Jenifer do her magic. it seems, everyone walked out with something they appreciate.make sure to plan this visit.
