I can't say enough about the doctors and the techs here. They are always kind with my anxious pup. They get back to you quickly with any questions or appointment needs. The doctors take the time with my pup and that is what matters most.
I will continue to drive 30 minutes or more if traffic to go here.

I love this vet! Dr. Walsh is compassionate and easy to talk to. My cat is extremely anxious and she handles him with care at each visit. Everyone I’ve spoken with at the front desk and on the phone makes things simple and easy. I couldn’t recommend them more.

My dog had an unusual medical event and our previous vet charged us a lot and then offered us no answers. Ended up having a human doctor in the family diagnose him. Then called Point Breeze and they clearly had the expertise and competence to navigate the weird medical issue. So grateful they exist.

The doctors are great and the facilities are nice. The only bad experiences I've had are with the receptionists. They are sometimes rude, they rush you for no reason, and they are completely non-accomodating. Very different experience compared to any other medical facility.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. From the start of their care with our previous dog, Point Breeze has been fabulous. He had a health issue almost immediately after getting him and they were able to see him as a new patient the next day. His care as an issue riden senior dog was always amazing until the very end.
Our new rescue was a heartworm positive pup and Don who works at the front desk was able to coordinate her injections on a very specific schedule with very little notice after we adopted her. Today he also was able to get her in for a concern and I couldn’t be more grateful. Every single person who works the front desk is excellent bar non and clearly loves pets.
The vets and vet techs who work at Point Breeze are truly phenomenal. Every single tech we have worked with was amazing. Over the years they would recognize your pup and give them gentle pets. Our precious sheltie loathed going to the vet but really adored every single vet tech and the vets he worked with. The vets we worked with Dr Berger, Dr Finnerty, Dr. Walsh and Dr Stroth for acupuncture were all knowledgeable, kind, caring and able to explain complex issues.
Point Breeze is simply the greatest and I will always be grateful for the care they provide.

I am moving away from Pittsburgh and so sad I can’t keep bringing my cat here. Everyone is so nice and patient with my 900 anxiety-fueled questions, and they’re so sweet to my cat. I never feel rushed and I think they really take the time to make my cat feel comfy during her appointment.

I want to start by saying that I have loved the care provided by Dr. Mathias, Kelly, and Melissa and this review is NO reflection on them. I just feel like people should know how folks at the front desk treat callers. I called this morning to ask about the as needed dose for a medication my dog Nico takes. We have to give him extra doses of some of his meds for stressful situations, such as going to the vet or when people come over. When I called this morning I talked to Chelsea and she was very mean to me over the phone and told me that people call in the morning to schedule appointments for their sick pets and made me feel dumb for asking about my dog’s behavioral meds. I hate writing negative reviews but it’s stressful as it is to have a dog with constant behavioral issues that I work on with training and meds every day. I really don’t need someone to make me feel worse. I was really kind to her over the phone, I asked if this was a bad time because she seemed upset that I was asking a question and that I could call another time. I don’t know if you have recordings of phone calls but I’d definitely urge you to listen if you do if you don’t believe my review! I don’t want anything bad to happen to this employee because I know customer service is difficult. But it would be helpful if the front desk folks were trained more or given techniques to be kinder over the phone.

Kelly was amazing and took fantastic care of Sully. Poor guy is terrified of going to the vet and they know just how to make him feel comfortable and safe.

So Far - things have been good during the administrative process as I prepare to get my Cat a new Vet after more than 10 years! I have done my research and I have done the required paperwork and now I am preparing for her first visit on May 14th. My cat is older and she is not in the best of health and we just really need a loving and caring veterinarian environment. STAY TUNED!

Dr. Mathias, Jordan, and their team went ABOVE AND BEYOND in helping me travel with my cat overseas during COVID-19. Jordan took care of all the logistics so I didn't have to. Dr. Mathias handled Bayleef in the most gentle and compassionate way, and was very communicative during all the visits. My pet arrived in another country with no hiccups and had a smooth transition. Point Breeze Vet clinic is nothing but the best and most professional provider my pet and I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with.

The staff are incredibly caring and compassionate. My sweet kitty gets hugs and love the whole time she is there making her so comfortable, and making me (an anxious mess) comfortable as well. My cat has asthma and has been in Dr. Schroths care for 2-3 years and I have complete trust in her. She keeps my cat healthy and my concerns (lots of them) are always addressed in detail. I couldn't recommend a better Vet!
