Really truly horrible people I tried to make a zelle transaction as a new user between me and my cousin and we got some issues and because of that they froze my funds for five months for fraud investigation, not only that but they also froze my disabled Daughter's social security disability account as well.
the guy that handled my issue in the bank -James- and the security representative - Amanda - who handled my case over the phone are nothing but unprofessional rude mean, not well trained people.
They treated me so badly, and they both were so mean to me.
Shame on them and shame on Dollar Bank to have representatives like them treating clients that way, and I have been a customer for years in Dollar Bank. I am just new to Zelle.
Dollar bank and Zelle didn't even bother running a real investigation to question the owner of the account where the money was transferred (in this case it is my cousin) the bank and Zelle preferred instead of running a real investigation to expedite the money release they prefer to just hold the money for five months without any care if their clients need the money for their urgent life situations such as medical or rent payments and that is because they are selfish and think only about themselves as they are held responsible for paying back that amount if a claim showed up within five month and the bank liability falls off after five months and that makes them selfish as they are thinking only about themselves not the clients.
They must hire a professional security team that can investigate those cases faster to release the money to clients faster instead of using the simple way, which is holding the funds for five month.
and I understand their paranoia and I understand where they came from, they are surrounded by negative energy the whole time because they always get exposed to many fraud cases to the point that they can't know the good people from the bad, and that gives me a concern that this bank is an unsafe place to have my money.
In five months, when the truth is revealed and when they see for themselves that the money is released to my account, they will regret treating me in that horrific way.
Unfortunately, Dollar Bank is a very small primitive bank and don't have a professional supervisor that I can talk to to submit complaints about their representatives,
We are now on april 2nd 2024. In five months, they will regret treating an innocent person like me in that horrible way. In five months, when I get back my money from the hold, my husband and I will shut down our accounts for good, and I already shut down my children accounts with them. And I will give an update when I get back my money with a receipt to prove it.
I never recommend this bank to anyone. and I never recommend Zelle to anyone as the price of the "fee free transfer" is expensive. Stay away of those paranoid in Dollar bank and Zelle.
My review is based on an honest real experience, and the truth is the absolute defense.
AN UPDATE: on August 29th 2024 I got my money back and the mean representatives of the bank and over the phone didn't even bother to apologize for the inconvenience.
Lucky for me I found a better bank for my savings with a high interest rate where my money can really get me real return comparing to Dollar Bank.

I lost a lot of money having my money in a savings account with dollar bank with a very low interest rate for my $5200 I was getting monthly 0.43 cents for almost five years but lucky me that I now got a savings account with Northwest bank with high yield interest rate of 4.80%. now for my $5200 I get monthly $20.84

My boyfriends card was unknowingly flagged and locked without any text messages or anything alerting him of it. He was able to send me our bills until they locked his Zelle account. We called that’s when they said they flagged it. It’s been over 3 weeks now, no card no nothing. It’s Christmas in a week and he can’t pay half the bills because his card still isn’t here.

Kristen is really great if you need to open an account. I had some issues due to the postal service and it created a problem reciving my debit card. Thanks to Kristen, she helped resolve the problem and notified the debt card issuing center and explained the situation. Everyone at this branch has always been extremely helpful and nice.

If you are looking to open an account, loan or line-of-credit look at other banks. First off, while their rates look great, their customer service is nonexistent and they access arbitrary fees to your account. I talked to the branch manager "Melissa" about these fees and she offered no help. Her explanation was that "I signed the paperwork" so the fees were valid. I asked what the fees were she said "servicing fees". Dollar Bank is a local bank lagging behind the others in accounts so they offer good loan rates; however, they nickel and dime you for everything to the point where the loan rate isn't even worth it. Plus their online systems are always down, lock you out for no reason and are archaic. Enough said. I am going to switch banks ASAP. Please, save yourself the trouble and move on.

Terrible! From the moment we opened the account, it was a nightmare. We deposited a $1000 CERTIFIED check that they never removed the hold from. Our rent check bounces...the first one no less. We looked fantastic to the landlord that day! Accepting responsibility, the bank manager refunded the bounce fee and corrected the account. However, when I brought in my return check fee receipt, they refused to cover it. My head hurts. It was YOUR fault the check bounced, yet you will not pay the fees I had to because of YOUR mistake? Completely unacceptable! The customer service here is very two-faced. You don't matter to them at all. It's all a front to get you into the door. I had thought after Tyler fixed the original issue that we had made a great choice in banks. Now I know otherwise. My funds will be transferred elsewhere by the end of the week and my account will be closed, all thanks to their own bank managers lack of customer service.
