BAD EXPERIENCE
Sold me a e-bike that broke one month in. They said it needed a software update (which I confirmed was a lie after they confirmed a week later it's impossible to update the bike) then charged me for maintenance I didn't ask for. I brought the bike back for a refund, they gave me the run-around long enough for the warranty to run out. Then they said they can give me in-store credit for the return, but they backed out on their word and said they couldn't do anything about the bike after the warranty ran out. Now I am stuck with an e-bike that has a motor that cuts out randomly mid-rides.
Did not enjoy a single moment of this.

Rented a mountain bike from Cadence and the experience was awesome. Pre-reserved the bike and signed the waiver online and the bike was waiting for me when I showed up. Staff led me through an overview of the bike and made a few adjustments. The bike performed amazingly. Took a 13 mile trip through the Wissahickon and the bike stood up to some serious ascents, descents, logs, and boulders, giving me a lot of confidence in the equipment. For $20/hour (or $80/day) to ride a $3k bike I felt like it was an excellent option for someone who is looking to get into the sport, traveling without a bike of their own, or just wants the convenience. The Landings Kitchen is right across the bridge so you can drop the bike off and wander over and grab a beer and relax in the shade! Highly recommend for friendly and knowledgeable staff, great atmosphere, and hassle free experience!

I actually can't believe a bike shop would treat people like this. I showed up today 9/1/24, Sunday 4:04pm. The lights were still on while I was leaning my bicycle to come inside. I then hear a click, and the lights go out. I was right infront of the doors, no way I wasn't seen! They locked the doors! I knocked on the door, a worker seen me and gave a thumbs down, and walked away. He wouldn't even come see if i was in any trouble, no cares. They close at 4pm, I get it. I've never had any bicycle shop just not care like Cadence does. Usually the shops try to look out for people, or atleast care. By the way, I just needed a helmet attached mirror. I'm actually glad I didn't spend my money here.

Original review: I wanted to touch base with you on my experience when picking up my Specialized bike ($2,800.00) and the issues I had that I had to rectify but could have been avoided if the store employee who "helped" me at the shop would have done what he said he was going to do properly.
1) When I picked up the bike at the shop an employee named "Kiyoshi", assisted me with the bike. This individual was very prompt in his manner in assisting me and was not really looking to explain to me anything about the bike or its features. Towards the end, he said that he needs to adjust the rear shock and what I understood as only rear shock to my body weight and it's policy prior to the bike leaving the store. He never once asked me to mount the bike to check sag and if the amount of air he put into the shock was enough for proper sag. It was not. Which leads me to below.
2) The bikes rear shock was so low in pressure, the rear shocks were 2mm from bottoming out and provided the worst ride when I mounted my pedals. I investigated what could be the issue and decided to purchase a shock pump to check the pressure and add air if I needed to make the bike rideable. One issue I have with this is him mentioning your store makes sure the rear shock is properly pressurized per the riders weight and it seems they did not pressurize the shock properly, have me mount the bike to test sag and also, why wasn't the front shocks also checked?
I reached out to the owner about this issue and he said he was willing to compensate me for the shock pump and also provide a helmet to make up for the issue. I have not heard back from the owner since and this shows what kind of business you will be dealing with when going into this place.
I just want to let every potential customer know about this and my dissatisfaction with my purchase at your store and to be very careful when going into this store. Thank you!
New review:
The guys at Cadence worked with me to make this right. I appreciate everything they did to help me out on bringing my appreciation to a higher level. Thank you very much for the great customer service.

Just got to experience New Bike Day at Cadence and it couldn’t have been any better! Brady took his time to custom fit my new rig just to me. From setting the sag just right to cutting down my bars, all while being so friendly! I had not been in this shop before but all the staff were so friendly I felt like we were old friends. I don’t think I could have had a better new bike day experience! If you’re looking for a sweet new ride, I can’t recommend this spot enough! I left with a Santa Cruz Bronson XO ASX. Stoke level: High.

I had a pretty complicated di2 install on my tri bike. Jo did an exceptional job on the install. I had a part that didn't fit and they found one for half price. He also fixed a few other items that he noted. Through out the communication through the app was excellent. I will be going back for all my bike maintenance needs.

Love this bike shop! The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. It’s right along the trail and they offer bike rentals $15/hour or $60 for the day. Plenty of parking, so can pop in grab your bike and go for a really nice ride along the trail.

****Updated Post
Walked in for a derailer adjustment. They immediately took care of my bike’s issue, and the price was amazing. I drive from south NJ to come here. Bike tech was cool and schooled me on a new hub upgrade.

I got my mountain bike adjusted, and my road bike tuned. Great group of guys! I love their text message service feature! Prices are great too.

Got a bike fit here which helped solve some knee and shoulder pain I was getting on big rides. Kind, professional, and knowledgeable mechanics and fitters.

I had an emergency. My car was stolen along with my stroller in the trunk. I had a super old stroller in my basement and ran it to cadence to get the tires fixed so I could use it right away. Chris was great. So compassionate and kind. They fixed the three tires super fast and the stroller glides like a dream. Even better than the one I lost. So grateful I ran into that shop. Highly recommend, 10 stars for great customer service.

Big thanks to Cadence and Matt, specifically. I limped in on a beautiful day with a wrecked front wheel. He got my bike sorted quickly, then I was right back out to enjoy the sunshine. He even took on the job within a few minutes of closing time. Very grateful!

Purchased March 2020 - 2020 Santa Cruz Tallboy – Lg Rocksteady Yellow Co Purchased as COVID was not quite in full force in March 2020, Brady delivered the bike to me at home, wearing a mask. The price was fair, the buying experience was great. Additionally, every year they provide a tune-up, creating minimal costs so far (tire sealant, etc.). Service is scheduled on-line, they communicate via text message and all managers/owners, sales people and techs at both locations have been great to deal with related to this purchase. The bike itself is more than I know how to use, but it has been perfect for the rocks/roots/short ups/downs very common around Philly (commonly ride Wiss, Belmont, Smedley, Brandywine) and generally without issue for 4 years.o Don’t be intimidated by the high-end bikes they sell. I purchased 2 kids bikes connected to Little Bella’s (an amazing charity that teaches girls mtb skills and broader life lessons across the US). The charity is supported by the shop, and in general they are a positive for the local community. Brady/Dave and everyone there will meet you at your budget/interest, help you through the process and are interested in being a resource for the long hall.

I spent weeks trying to adjust my rear derailleur, and these guys did it in 5 minutes. I guess that's the difference between "do it yourself" and a "Professional"!! Thanks, great job! I even bought a helmet..lol!
