My sister was a power of attorney on my mother's bank account and the local rep in The Newtown Square bank showed no empathy when we explained that she had passed away . it was a frustrating and stressful experience after just losing our mother. We are a large family of seven adult children and over 20 adult grandchildren. Accounts will be lost. Shame on you!

Been banking with Wells Fargo for many years. Never had a problem. Love the people working there.

In early June 2021, my husband and I went to the Wells Fargo branch in West Chester Pike in Newtown Square, PA for a signature authorization. The female manager who attended us was unable to meet our request for very good reasons. This was not the problem. The problem was her sarcastic and patronizing attitude. Instead of educating us on the process (we were missing needed documentation), she laughed at our request. Loudly and laughing said something like "everyone comes with such unrealistic requests", to which I responded that it was the first time for us ever to need such an authorization (concerning a death in the family of all things). We plan to move our mortgage to another bank.

Count your money. I did a large cash withdrawal, but they did not have large bills. I watched teller run the small bills through the auto-counter multiple times, so assumed that it was correct. Bad assumption. It was short $20, but I didn’t figure it out until I counted at home. I figured, no big deal, it would be corrected at the branch balancing at the end of the day, but somehow they balanced! Hmmm...I let the branch know, and the managers solution was that he’d use this as a “coaching” opportunity for his teller. Great, but I still don’t get my $20 back? He asked if there was anything ELSE he could do for me, but didn’t like when I pointed out he didn’t do anything. Learn from my mistake...don’t use the NewtownSquare branch, or count your money before you leave.

This place is a complete mess. Save yourself the head ache and gomto a different branch or a different bank entirely.

Not a huge fan of this branch. I came in regarding a mortgage question, and had to wait for several minutes to talk with someone. Once I finally was able to talk to someone, they weren't able to answer my questions, and referred me to another Wells Fargo employee who wasn't currently there and was supposed to call me the next day. However, when the banker greeted me, he never introduced himself, didn't shake my hand, and barely made eye contact. Not sure if I was expecting too much, or if they should reconsider who they have sitting at the table talking to people about business involving their bank. Oh and the employee didn't call me for over 3 days from my initial visit, and if wasn't even during the time slot when I said I was available to talk.
