I really enjoyed this place for dinner. I come here often for breakfast and it's always pretty good. I love the service. The staff are nice and pleasant. It's a place that kind of looks small and divey but I enjoy that type of ambiance. Just take note if you want chips with your burger you can't order fries. Because they up charge 3.50. Even if you order a side of fries because you want the chips they won't give it to you. I thinks that's incredibly strange since you pay full price for a side.

My car broke down on the highway and I stopped in to wait while it was being fixed in the garage across the street. I was very anxious and upset as my son was waiting on me to pick him up in college and I didn't know how long I'd be detained. The waitresses and managers were so extremely kind to me! They bought me lunch and let me stay as long as I needed while my car was being fixed. The Greek salad and chicken orzo soup I had were delicious, but I'll never forget the kindness.

Not the greatest food. But it's something better than nothing. I don't mind coming here but food needs more flavor.

Stopped by on our way out of PA around 1pm. It was dying down but you could tell it had been super busy! People were very friendly but it's definitely a small little family spot in a rural town. Be cautious, they do not always list that they have croutons on their salads! As someone with celiac that was a bit of an issue for me so just double check. It was iceburg lettuce with a handful of the toppings advertised but the chicken on top was super good! Perfectly cooked and well seasoned.

Stopped by here while camping at Little Buffalo. Service was quick and restaurant was clean. Prices were reasonable. Had the 1/2 chicken breast special. It was served over filling with gravy, one side and salad. The flavor was great, very well seasoned. The filling was delicious. My only complaint was that the chicken was dried out/ over cooked. Chicken fingers and fries were standard fair. Would probably go back. Not many choices in the small town for real food other than pizza/subs. Very close to Butchers Farm Market. Right beside a DG.

Good fresh homemade food in a clean and friendly place. The prices are very reasonable and the selection of desserts is outstanding. Recommend this place!

Went her for 1st time, it's a basic, no frills place to eat, small mall setting. They are not in a hurry there, and locals do get priority service. Food was not great, but good. Cooked as should be..

A friend and I had lunch here yesterday. We def want to go back and try more dishes. We were smart getting there by 11:30 as this small family restaurant filled up quickly with the Saturday lunch crowd. There was a chalkboard by the door listing the daily specials, soups and veggies of the day. We both got the baked haddock senior meal which was very good. A nice size piece of haddock perfectly cooked. Comes with two sides or soup/salad and one side. I had coleslaw and steak fries; both were very good. My friend had a salad and mashed that she said was good. The iced tea is good. And best of all, the service was good. Our server apologized for a small wait for our food which was proportionate to the number of people that were there before us but it showed us she was paying attention to what was going on while she was working. Since we were given one of our sides and our drinks right away, we were fine with the short wait. There's so few places to eat in Perry county and most are pizza/sub shops so it is nice to have this place to add to our short list of places to dine.

This "new" restaurant is in the old location of May's Railside Diner in Newport. Slightly different look on the inside than May's. The wife and I went here for breakfast and were not disappointed. The food was very good, service was excellent and the staff was super friendly. They have daily specials and are budget friendly. The portion sizes are enough to satisfy. The cost is not much at all. Overall, a very nice small town family run business. We will definitely be returning. They have a Facebook page but I don't Facebook so I wanted word to get out about them via Trip Advisor. I encourage you to give them a try. You won't be disappointed. We didn't try dessert because it was breakfast time, but their dessert menu had my mouth watering!

We enjoyed our breakfast. The scrapple was cooked just right and the chipped beef gravy was nice and creamy. The owner stopping by our table to ask how everything tasted was a nice touch. We'll definitely be back.

I went here with my family, we are locals and wanted to try the place out, and I was rather unimpressed. Let me give credit where credit is due, the staff was very friendly and helpful, however the food was lacking. I ordered a burger, others at my table ordered lasagna and a club sandwich, my burger was good and the. club was fine but nothing exceptional. However the lasagna was lacking, and had little to no cheese, too much red sauce, a burnt layer of cheese on the top, and to noodles we're mediocre at best. We are not ones for complaining but when they asked how the food was we told the lasagna was not all that good, and then they graciously offered all of us deserts. We shared one piece of chocolate cheese cake, and it was very good. Overall it was a good experience, however ever if you go there avoid the lasagna, and try the chocolate cheese cake.
